The price of this event was very expensive, I mean seriously VIP tickets were $200 a day. I was lucky as can be that I won them from a twitter contest. I was shocked to be honest, both days of VIP, was very grateful. The main theme is a day time into night time RAVE, no other way to describe it. Maybe not like the ones in the Mojave desert or EDC Las Vegas but those are hard to duplicate. There was the EXPERIENCE OF 4 STAGES- 2 DAYS. 100,000 SUPPOSEDLY people there. So many smiling faces, so many women dressed very scandalous for this. There were litterally hundreds of artists there performing. Over 70 DJS in all. There were even Carnival Rides to go on for your entertainment, Interactive Art Installations and one GIGANTIC OWL. The day I was there was Saturday and there was a mess of people there. Martin Garrix was the first one I really saw I believe. He was definitely a fan favorite. End of the night there was Carl Cox and Loco Dice playing together in the only inside venue. Ended up also catching about 30 minutes of AFROJACK set. He went on last and his particular stage. HARDWELL was also a main act and he did his thing too. *All in all, a great experience, and a really hot day of moving around here and there. I got some water and there were free refilling stations. I still almost felt like I was dehydrated. Had a monster drink and that helped too. I would come back again another year. Each stage was great.

I feel betrayed and lied to…read more When you purchase tickets to EDC, it says "rain or shine." It even says it on the shiny colorful tickets you get. THEY DON'T MEAN THAT, PEOPLE! On Saturday of this year, it started drizzling... raining... well, okay, fine, pouring buckets... and they made us all go inside the stadium for at least a whole hour! Liars! Can you imagine all those people huddled up in the parking lot making their way inside? Needless to say, it was a zoo. Otherwise, EDC was an incredible 2-day experience and I can't wait to go again. I didn't think I'd love it this much, especially having gone to Coachella last month and thinking this would pale in comparison. But it had the elements of Coachella that I loved while having its own qualities that made it unique. Obviously go if you're into the music (EDM, house, dance, electro house, D&B, techno, dance punk, hardstyle, dubstep), or if you just want to witness the atmosphere, I guess. Speaking of which, girls are all in crop tops, high waisted shorts, and floral headbands. Sounds cliche, but it was fun dressing up! I saw maybe 10 concerts within the 2 days, which I believe is worth the money. I also very much appreciated the real bathrooms available inside versus the standard portapotties. Beware: there is a very small variety of food (Papa John's, chicken fingers, and fries. That's it) and the prices are outrageous. $7 for French fries whatwhat! Also, security is over the top. They don't let you bring in makeup or water bottles (because apparently these things are made of ecstasy??...) Transportation that I took from NYC: metronorth from Penn Station to Secaucus, then bus from there to Metlife. $10.50 roundtrip and so easy a monkey could do it. In any case, go and dance like no one is watching!

Tickets were online only and the process was easy. You have the option of entry fee and/or a wristband that gets you unlimited rides. The entrance and intial part of the fair is mostly food and the crowd attractions. Pig racing, dirt bike show, Magic etc. The rides were past that along with the standard fair games to win prizes. Most of the staff I encountered were all very nice. It's a great way to spend your day.

However, as an adult, this attraction appears to have gotten even sketchier. Outrageously priced, massive lines, poor crowd control, unruly patrons, rude and seedy vendors/ride operators, etc. For the prices, you truly aren't getting much food or entertainment-wise. Same goes for the entry ticket fee. Overall, the experience doesn't deliver for the price. Check out the Sussex County Fair for a true experience that you will enjoy, especially considering it is nothing like what I mention above. I'll pass on this one in the future.

With over 100 street vendors and various trucks plus live music I am in!…read more It was such a beautiful afternoon, love this time of year to hit up a street fair. It is running until tomorrow, June 8th. You pretty much can have any kind of food you want, from regular fair food such as hot dogs, corn on the cob to exotic like Indian, Sushi and Filipino fare. We could only try so much. Upon arriving we were thirsty so we tried Bubble Tea. We ended up getting a green tea smoothie with fruit gelatin in it. It quenched our thirst and cooled us down. It came from Bubble Tea-licious & Smoothies World. Then on to El Lechon de Negro which is Puerto Rican pernil dishes. We had their version of Disco Fries. Golden fries smothered in pork gravy topped with their roasted pulled pork, onions, cilantro and mozzarella cheese. It is a must try though they have many dishes to wet any appetite. After walking around a bit checking out the many vendors and sitting near the band shell in the shade listening to one of the many bands playing this weekend we got hungry again. This time we went to the Filipino stand and tried their chicken BBQ and the pork egg rolls. I was still hungry so we then went to Filomena's stand and shared a rice ball it was hot and filled with I believe pancetta, it came with a side of marinara sauce to dip. Though I was trying my hardest to not go to my usual fair food of sausage & peppers and zeppoles I ended up caving in and bringing it home for dinner. The sandwiches, though seemingly pricey at $ 9 is well worth the price just for the sheer size of the sandwich. We also came across Mod Cup Coffee Stand in our journey, where we indulged in their hibiscus raspberry iced tea. It was very refreshing on such a hot day. Too bad it wraps up tomorrow but if you are in the area you should go and check it out. The crowds did not seem so bad and I can guarantee two things, one you won't be disappointed and two, you won't go home hungry.

So starting down towards the train station is where most of the food vendors start, working your way up from there is all the antiques, clothing, books and more. I love to start at the top because I can work my way down to the goodies and work up an appetite. This year was SUPER hot, I always recommend triple checking the weather before bringing your pups. Saw a ton of them this year huffing and puffing and I felt terrible. It's a huge street fair and they will get tired. Even kids, bring a stroller. Make your life easier! The Rutherford library was out this year and I scored some awesome cookbooks for a dollar. I also snagged some fantastic homemade candles. I love the vendors that have dog treats and clothing, I always grab some sweet potato and chicken treats. Down to the food - the best bang for your buck is Red Basil. They always have a huge stand with 5 dollar options and 3 dollar appetizers to sample. So so tasty! Such a good way to try different things on their menu too. Materas on Park always has some fantastic pasta dish to go, this year they had penne vodka in a paper cone so you can walk and enjoy your carbs. What more can we ask for? The Cuban spot and Suprema also always cook up some delicious treats. You have your standard ice cream truck, hot dogs and typical fair food but stray outside the box and try some of the awesome cuisines they offer on Park Ave. The one bad thing is parking, after 11 am it's a MAD house. Just give yourself a good half an hour to be patient and find a spot.

There is always a small section with rides for kids. They also have a beer garden (sometimes more than one) and wine tasting. I love walking down the main street of Rutherford, checking out all the different vendors and the cool crafts / vintage items they are selling. One of my must stop places is Matera on Park. I always buy their large lemonade (which is a cheap $2.50 and comes in a very large circular tupperware cup of sorts). It's always delicious! Also, I will use their store front to hide from the heat. So far, every year I've gone to this street fair, the weather has been BRUTAL. You walk down the center of the main street, so there is obviously no shade to hide behind. This year, I stuck to the sidewalk because I brought my newborn, to hide from the sun, so I didn't get to see all the vendors I wanted. Also, I didn't stay too long this year because it was just too freaking hot - for me, for my husband, and for the kids. Regardless of me complaining about the weather, I always enjoy the vibe of the day. So many people come out to enjoy the street fair and like I said, there is plenty to look at and food to indulge in. Can't wait to go back next year!

We are all excited but still had no idea where until I saw the castle and I froze. Like, wow! I have been wanting to come here since I was young and that wish came true. The ambiance inside the castle and the staff were so welcoming and very into their characters. It was so cool to see and experience. The concession stands had really nice items to buy and great photo ops. As we were waiting to go inside, my boys were knighted and that was so cool to see as they were having the time of their lives! As we were walking towards our section to sit down, we saw a royal falcon, which was pretty cool. As time is getting closer, we are now waiting to be seated. My family and I and everyone around us was so excited to finally go inside, sit down, and enjoy the show. We are finally in our seats excited for this moment. Our server Isaac was awesome!!!! (FOR ANYONE READ THIS OR TAKES A TRIP OUT THERE, TIP YOUR SERVERS) For anyone who hasn't been there I just don't want to spoil the moment but what I can say is I 1000% recommend this!!!!!!!

The line to get inside, the line for pictures, and even trying to find our seating created a very chaotic atmosphere. We made a reservation for 9 people but were seated for 8, which resulted in two children having to share a chair. That was disappointing and felt unfair, especially considering the cost of the experience. The show itself was entertaining and the host was very kind, but the food was just mediocre. The potato was dry, and the chicken was unevenly seasoned -- one section had an overwhelming amount of seasoning while other parts had very little. For the amount of money spent, everything felt just "okay" rather than worth the price. Leaving the venue was also stressful. Guests for the next show were entering while our crowd was trying to exit, causing everyone to crash into each other and making the experience feel even more chaotic. Overall, the kids enjoyed themselves, but as an adult, the entire experience was overstimulating and not something I would personally rush to do again.

I say without hesitation this was one of the worst planned and overly sold food festivals I have had the opportunity to attend, and I have attended many.. Many of which are much larger in size and scope in NYC, Brooklyn, Philly and in Boston, yet they were all better managed to help assure customer satisfaction was at the forefront of the event. Exposure North Jersey shame on you for overselling the event 20 fold and cramming an event which required about 10x the sq footage to help assure a successful event. I hope you take notice of the endless list of complaints on Facebook and social media and trust me the complaints and constructive criticism is in the high hundreds, perhaps thousands and reevaluate a better plan to help assure better success in the future. This festival was awesome, off Palisades Ave in Washington Park (right on the boarder of JC). Not…read moresure how long it was around for, but I went the night of 9/14. There were lots of people enjoying the rides and food, and a good police presence as well. Rides: Farris Wheel, bumper cars, loop roller coaster, starship spiny ride, another spiny ride, a ride where you sit in a swing and fly in the air in a circle. There was also a little kid ride section with 3-4 different rides for toddlers. And a petting zoo with ponies and lamas. Food options were an Italian and fried food station, a Spanish food station, and an Asian meet on a stick station. I did not see any alcohol sold. There was also a candy apple and cotton candy station. Carney games were cool too, there was a rifle target game that was impossible to win, a water gun game, and 4 or 5 other booths. I rocked the shuffle board game on my first shot! Had such a good time at this festival, quality of rides and entertainment was better than similar fairs I have been to in Jersey City. Will definitely be looking out for this fair's return next September!

I wish this venue was closer to me, I'd be there for every hardcore show they put on. For this show there was no barricade; I don't know if that varies from one show to another, but I was happy to see the lack of a barrier when we walked in. The security was just how you want them to be at this kind of show: present and there if needed, but not getting in anyone's way or preventing people from dancing or stagediving. There are two bars in the main area of the Black Box, one at the back, one on the side. And then merch was sold upstairs, and there's another bar there. Snack machines, and candy is also sold at at least one of the bars. I paid $7 for a 12 oz. can of Miller Lite or $9 for Corona, I'm not sure what size that was, 11 or 12 oz. I guess, one of those weird tall, skinny cans. The sound quality here is excellent. They had some lights going on during the bands' sets, but nothing too showy or intrusive. Really, just all around top-quality in terms of sound, stage setup, production. All the employees I encountered were very friendly. This was a pretty big crowd; I don't know if it was sold out or not, but the place was packed by the time AN went on. Sometimes staff can be unpleasant or just generally serious, handling this many people in a theater size venue, but these folks all seemed happy to have us there. I love the Black Box at Williams Center and hope to be back soon.

The space apparently hosted everything from movies to musical acts to comedy and more. The "Black Box" room was an intimate, open rectangle next to a more formal theater space with tiered row seating. There were merch tables and two bars set up around the perimeter with general admission standing room in the center leading up to the stage. The sound quality was spectacular, and it was nice to be right in the middle of the action. I would definitely see another show there.
