I've been to this park numerous times and have been coming here for years. However, I haven't…read morereturned in quite some time... several years to be exact. It looks as though the park has the typical/normal wear and tear of any park that's been around for years in this harsh desert climate. With that being said it's still a pretty good park. They have restrooms, water fountains, two full tennis courts, a basketball court, Big and little kid playground areas, swing sets, a large properly maintenance grass field where lots of kids have been known to practice soccer in. They also have a fitness area as well as a jogging path that I've had the pleasure of using to burn off those pesky calories. Lastly, they have one gazebo area as well as a frequently visited ice cream truck. Hence the reason to burn off those calories, lol.

A nice, clean, and relatively safe little park. I've enjoyed the walk path that outlines the park…read more It states that two laps is equal to one mile, incase you're curious. The park features a large green space, some charcoal grills and tables, a playground, basket ball court, and some exercise equipment. This park is conveniently located near a Sprouts and Cafe Lola, which makes for grabbing some treats and walking over for some enjoyment under the trees very easy. You can walk the trail behind the park, which connects to different parks- the closest being Majestic Bluff Park, I believe. Just a note that this park is by a loud car wash and a busy street, so just be mindful of that when visiting.

This park is nice. Many of the soccer fields are always closed unless a group makes a reservation…read morethrough the city. There is a park and water area here with some walking paths (I come for the walking paths) as it's in a convenient location for me. Not the best park in the city, but nice and clean. If you play soccer this would definitely be the spot for you. Lots of dog walkers come here that want a quieter park. There's also a very nice and new park with a splash pad, and musical instruments on the far side of this park (look for location on the signs or you may miss it).

A great play area for my kids to let loose some energy during the Thanksgiving holiday…read more This sports complex is across from the Sierra Vista High School and offers tons of sensory areas, swings, a small grass patch and some of the cleanest bathrooms I've seen at a public playground in a long time. There's also a swing made for children who are in a wheelchair, which is pretty awesome, allowing all children a chance to swing and have fun. The one downfall of this park is that it's across the street from a high school school. As soon as the high school got out, this park was filled with older kids playing on stuff that is obviously made for small children, almost knocking kids over, and being a little too free with the language. I'm not a prude, but c'mon you can't hold off on the F-bombs for a few minutes? Still a great playground with a lot of things to do and plenty of disable parking spots.

There's alot more to Hoop City than the facility. My son's been practicing and playing in leagues…read morethere since Spring 2016. He came in a novice and has developed strong basketball skills, good sportsmanship, and now has a huge love for the sport - basketball is his life! Jermaine is my go-to guy for scheduling, payments, and a good laugh. He works around the clock, always with a smile and treats us like family. The entire coaching staff has been great to work with. They employ the tough love approach with the kids. Constructive feedback will be given, but Coaches Kenny, Shay, Dedan, Imperial, and Trey genuinely care about each child. They offer praise when hard work bears fruit. I've even seen them run out on the court and pick injured kids up. Game schedules have historically been sent last minute, but the Hoop City coaches have done a great job of improving communication. They now post schedules online and set up group texts with all parents of team members. Yes, it's hot in the summer, but it's better than playing in the direct sunlight. It feels great in all of the other seasons of the year! They recently made some improvements in the restrooms by installing soap and paper towel dispensers. Don't let the negative talk about the facility deter you from checking the Hoop City basketball programs out. If you're looking for a place to help a child improve their basketball skills and nurture a love for the game, this is the place to be!

We come here for my kids basketball games. It has 2 courts so 2 games can be played side by side…read more There is not enough seating. The worst part is there is no air conditioning or if there is any, you can't feel a bit. Are you kidding me? It's 110 outside in Vegas and you sit here sweating watching your kids play. I wish NYS would not schedule basketball games here in summer. Tarakanian is much better.

Summerlin's most thoughtfully designed neighborhood park…read more Unusually green for Vegas and beautifully balanced between walking paths, picnic spaces, sports areas, and family-friendly corners. Its 18 acres are lined with mature trees, and this time of year the ornamental pears are peaking. They burst into clouds of white blossoms, their branches dusted like powdered sugar. When the breeze moves through, petals drift down slowly, almost like a gentle snowfall. It's intensely beautiful, and because the bloom is so brief, and arrived early this year, it's worth visiting now before it disappears. Notes: although a sign lists the hours as dawn to 10:30pm, the park feels safe. I haven't seen any homeless individuals here, likely thanks to the security guard who patrols in a golf cart. The amenities are extensive: lighted basketball and tennis courts, sand volleyball, bocce ball, horseshoe, shuffleboard, a large playground, BBQ grills, and a community center offering classes and programs. There's also restrooms, water stations, and plenty of parking. My dog has officially declared this his new favorite park. He loves seeing all his friends, each greeting the other with sniffs, and catching up on everything they've missed since yesterday, lol!

It makes a big difference when you have little ones or wanderers and want a bit more peace of mind. There are options for both bucket swings and regular swings, so it works well for different ages. The splash pad area is pretty spacious and gives kids plenty of room to run around, although it's not enclosed. There are quite a few trees around the park but they aren't really positioned in a way that provides much shade where you'd actually want to sit/can sit comfortably. The women's bathroom had multiple stalls, which was nice, but there was no changing table or hand soap in the bathroom. The bathrooms just gave a very worn look/feel to it though. Also not a big fan that they were a bit far from the playground and right in front of the parking lot. It gave me a bad feeling. I also saw there's a disc golf course here, if anyone is wondering (pics provided). The biggest issue for me was the amount of trash scattered around. There was everything from random litter to cigarette butts in common areas, which took away from the overall experience. With better maintenance, I feel like this park can be a favorite in the future.
