I finally found the restrooms on an upper floor after walking for what seemed like forever and of course they charge for them, and they weren't even clean.

Shopping, shopping and shopping…read more Located across from the main train station, they have so many shops here for most everyone. Most shops sell reasonably priced items. I wasn't looking but not sure if they have high end stuff here but I guess that's what Paris is for. If I wasn't here on business, I think I would have enjoyed shopping here and possibly purchased a suitcase to take stuff home. I didn't buy anything (no rooms in my small carryon), but walked around to compare pricing with similar quality items in the US.

Cool looking mall next to the Soane river in Legoland city. I call it Legoland based on the design…read moreof the buildings in this futuristic city neighborhood. The mall itself is covered but has sections that are open to the elements including rain. It's a nice feature which keeps the air fresh, it doesn't have that plastic chemical smell of most malls. They even have a few areas with outdoor lounge chairs. Good variety of stores and they have an excellent food court with typical fast food and some nice looking table service restaurants. On the top floor they have a big movie theater playing French and American movies. There is also a cool art exhibit located in the mall and it appears that it is also used as a night club with DJ and bar.

Welcome in the center of Confluence…read more As it is the only thing interesting in this area, there are not too many people, and it feels very good to go shopping in a not-crowed place. Nevertheless you can find everything you want in a bunch of different shops and restaurants without losing time waiting in a queue. I prefer Confluence to Part-Dieu in term of ambiance and people. :)

But for more than five hundreds of years this…read morewas a hospital established in the 1400s till 2010, and it is on the UNESCO world heritage list. Walking through the hall ways, I can't resist to imagine how patients were taken care of over those hundreds of years.
