Dr. Kyrzynske's nurses are professional andcompassionate. I've never felt rushed as they gather information, review medications, or make notes for Dr. Kurzynske's review. But, it is Dr. Kurzynske who makes one feel like a real person with real value with real issues. He listens attentively, probes to ascertain issues, is not rebuffed by questions, and makes his patients feel like they've been heard and receiving the best medical attention and actions that a primary care physician could offer. He is knowledgeable and trusted to be current in that knowledge. He views patients as whole persons, physically, mentally, and emotionally. He sees the patient in context of their circumstances (i.e., impacted by needs resulting from work and family situations). His compassion is real and comforting. The best experience I had in the twenty plus years going there was with the nurse practitioner Sarah. She had empathy, understanding, and took the time to listen and actually hear what you have to say and take the time to work out a plan with you. The office staff leaves allot to be desired, their customer service is poor. All but one lady in the front office are rude and do not take privacy to heart. I find it appalling that a doctor's office will dismiss someone that has been going to them for over twenty years because they fell on hard times and had to pay a bill late. There is no appreciation for loyalty at this office. It is a shame that a doctor's office has gotten so big, they have lost the meaning of bedside manner, and the patient's health comes first and foremost.

A family member who sees Dr. Brian had recommended him and I explained this to the scheduler who said that I would need to be seen first as a new patient work-up then be rescheduled for a second appointment to treat the diarrhea. This Dr. Scott concurred on my new patient visit. Dr. Brian did a breast exam, debated whether to do a pap smear, scheduled lab work and x-ray despite all this having been done previously before my move and I could have had my records transferred. I did not schedule a follow-up visit. Given the circumstances, I would hope Dr. Scott would have empathy for his patients rather than thinking all people are out to gouge him. He had little interest in that I was new to the area, needed some bowel relief, nor that I was recommended to him by a family member. He was strictly by the book, lacking compassion, and seemed more intent in covering himself in case of a lawsuit without regard to a patient's insurance cost, time, or discomfort. I wasn't asking for narcotics - I simply wanted the diarrhea to stop. Instead, he does a breast exam.

Scheduling has been a massive joke which the lab girls always choose to yell at me like it's my fault the scheduler screwed up AGAIN. There is absolutely Zero reason for a patient to be put in a position where they hear nursing staff degrading other patients. This happened 3 times in the last two years. I should not hear people talking ugly about patients while I'm in a patient room feet away from the nurses station. Once would have been bad enough but 3 times with 3 different nurses is absolutely appalling. To be told out right that will not take any measures at all to keep a patient comfortable simply because the doctor doesn't want to get in trouble for actual patient care is pathetic. It's such a shame so many people are being shuffled into this business. You can no longer call them a healthcare facility. They are not in this to help people. She is very much simply profiting off of cancer & hematology patients. Despicable.
