Cannot say enough great things about quality and structural integrity. Upgraded to arctic insulation and SIP floor and had no issue staying warm during winter with a fantastic wood stove. No leaks and yurt still looks brand new(now 4 years old) even after being moved. Admittedly, I flipped through the blog of the 1 star review here...bummer he is not enjoying his yurt! Cannot speak to the specific issues he is having but from my experience (and the experience of many of my friends that live in Montana/Alaska and put these yurts through hell) it has all been positive! It is definitely a lifestyle that may not be for everyone - expect to get wet and dirty at times and experience weather and temperatures more intimately...honestly that was part of the fun of it!

I strongly recommend avoiding Lolo Peak Roofing…read more They replaced my roof last fall and the experience was a mess from start to (incomplete) finish. The front fascia was botched, redone, and still left unfinished. The fascia work around the house was poorly done across the board, and the garage work is already falling apart. Worst of all, an entire section of roof over my laundry room wasn't properly sealed or fastened. Despite repeated promises, they never delivered. I've had to hire a second roofing company just to fix their shoddy work. The owner won't even return my calls--clearly he doesn't stand by his work or care about customers. Bottom line: subpar quality, no accountability, and a total lack of professionalism.

The floors are re-finished acceptably, but it certainly was not a "dustless sanding" experience…read more I recommend that anyone using this company insist on barriers (plastic sheet, etc.) for dust mitigation in adjoining rooms. My experience: Before any sanding started, I asked for them to hang a plastic sheet to prevent dust from contaminating the rest of the house. I was told that there would be no dust because of their large vacuum, and that if it looked like any dust was getting into the rest of the house they would hang a plastic sheet. After the re-finish was completed, I found dust settled on almost all surfaces in the adjoining room, which is my kitchen. This meant a layer of dust had settled on the counter tops, all of the open shelves, every dish and cup, every appliance, and on the fruits and vegetables stored on the counter. Cleaning all the dust required many hours of effort. I have received a call apologizing for the 'oversight' of not hanging a plastic sheet, but I am still quite disappointed that all of the effort I spent cleaning up dust could have been greatly reduced with such a simple task.

The next day we agreed on a start date that was three weeks out and Teigen showed early for five days to complete the work. And the flooring is amazing and beautiful!
