A sign said there was a sale on everything in one of these booths except for jewelry and books. I grabbed two small paintings. When I went to check out and told the clerk about the sale, I was just told "wrong." The clerk then explained that the sale was void for these items because of stickers on the back that said "firm." The large and prominently featured sale sign for the booth only listed jewelry and books as excluded from the sale, not items marked firm. It felt misleading. The sign should have said, "except for jewelry, books, and items marked firm." I asked the clerk about the sign. She said that the sign didn't matter, only that the sticker on the back said firm. Because of this, I didn't purchase the paintings I otherwise would have loved to nab. I hope they start honoring poorly worded sales signs and/or have vendors make their signs clearer and clarify exclusions better. Otherwise, this is a great boutique.

My brother Phil, who loves Abba Zabbas, said that he can't find them anywhere. We talked at length during the night about the prospect of finding these treats from the past, and how excited he was to get to the store, and pick him up a bushel or two. Well, in the morning, we took a walk across the town square, and into the Pharmacy. It was packed. We thought, there must be a lot of sick folks in Mountain Grove. As it turns out, it's not only a Pharmacy, but also a restaurant. The unsick folks seemed to be enjoying themselves. However, we weren't there for food. We were at the Pharmacy to cure Phil's sweet tooth ailment. We scoured the shelves for the elusive holy grail Abba Zabbas, only to be fraught with disappointment. None to be found. Well you know the old saying, "If they ain't there, well...there you go" and go we went. Quick Tip: What's an Abba Zabba? Look it up. I'll tell you what it ain't, Phil says, it ain't no rock and roll group from Iceland.
