He is very easy to talk to and put my fears at ease right away. I was going to see him when I lived in Connecticut through the recommendation of another patient of his but I moved to California and thought it wouldn't be possible. He was able to provide sessions by Skype and I was thrilled. Through these sessions I have gained the tools necessary to work on some communication issues I was having with my partner and now have a much stronger relationship with not only him but other close friends and family. I am very glad I decided to take this step in my life and have been very pleased with the results. Much more work to go but am very happy so far.

After following that guidance, I was left without medication support, held in the ER for hours without my physical pain management, and then discharged from care immediately after returning home--despite being told we would continue working together. On my intake phone call I told them about my PTSD and that I was currently in outpatient at institute of living. Which wasn't a problem to Jasmine the intake coordinator,, to get me to have an the intake appointment. Pamela Denova knew as well because I told her I went to partial hospitalization, and am now in outpatient. No one said anything that I could not be a patient of theirs while in a outpatient program. Not once was I told that til after seeing the canceled appoint. She didn't even have the decency to call me and tell me I was discharge or why. And she actually ignored my text and call. Before I went into the hospital, Pamela heard me tell her where I was at. She then promised she would be there to work on things when I get out, but instead she and mellahealth discharged me. During intake, I was also asked to revisit deeply traumatic experiences, including several severe personal traumas, only to be dropped from care the very next day. There was no transparency about whether this practice could provide the level of care I needed before putting me through that process. Or that they couldn't see me while I was in a higher level of care. Horrible policy. This experience felt like abandonment at one of the most vulnerable moments of my life. I would strongly urge others to steer clear of anything to do with anyone listed above.

My therapist uses MellaHealth for her billing and they have probably THE WORST possible…read morerepresentative in the billing department who has ZERO empathy, or understanding of clients with mental health issues. She treats people terribly and has absolutely NO heart for what people are going through. She treats you like a deadbeat, even when it's a simple clerical mistake, or if you have already made a payment. She constantly talks over you, and then hangs up on clients in crisis, after being responsible for putting them in that situation. Not at all what you would expect from a Mental Health Organization. They want your Credit Card information so they can bill you whenever they please. DO NOT GIVE IT TO THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. It's CLEAR that MellaHealth's only goal is MONEY and not actually helping people. Typical for American healthcare. I agree with previous posters, they absolutely stress you out more regarding insurance payments and billing mistakes that could be rectified simply instead of making it a anxiety inducing situation. STAY AWAY! DO NOT USE MELLAHEALTH!!

I gained the courage to call & Mrs. Rebecca explained her process of how she handles things and when she mentioned culture, I just knew. Minorities, people of color, know exactly what I mean. Slowly but surely she's helped my stubborn self understand and accept certain things on a deeper level. As we continue to connect, it feels like the sessions get shorter because of how everything flows. It flowed so much that there are others I am close with, that also now see her individually. He is good at explaining the reasons for recommended medications or "tools" for a better, more productive life. He has an ease in his interactions that I appreciate.

That said, I would still continue as a patient of his regardless of the drive time or traffic. I see him for treatment of Adult ADHD and depression and his is head and shoulders above any other psychiatrist I have ever been to. He is professional, courteous and above all else, punctual! I cant tell you how many Dr.s i've had in the past who have made me wait, sometimes up to an hour, past our scheduled times. On occasion, i've even been taken early. He is young, personable, has a tremendous knowledge in his field and takes the time to explain how any prescriptions he writes work on the brain and any adverse side effects they may have. I dont feel like "patient 24601" during our sessions; he takes a moment to just see how i'm doing over all and asks about my family by name and now "...and how are things with your spouse and 2 dependents?" Definitely the best experience i have had with a doctor anywhere! His office isn't too far from West Hartford Center, which is a definite plus for when I need to get some shopping in before or after an appointment!

When I told Angela that I needed to cut back she ignored all forms of communication. She then charged me with a late fee for a missed appointment when I had clearly tried to cancel it well before the "late window". She also told me she would send me a superbill so I could get partially reimbursed from my insurance company. I am still yet to receive the superbill, even after 15+ requests. When I go on the online portal, her codes are all wrong and not clearly marked, making it impossible for me to get reimbursed from insurance. I I have called, emailed, texted her...My insurance company has called numerus times as well. I have already paid Angela, all I am requesting is a superbill with the correct codes and payment information so I can submit it to my insurance company. For someone who prides themselves on helping people during a time of serious need, ( NOT TO MENTION I WAS EXTREMELY PREGNANT) it is unbelievable how unsupportive and unhelpful she has been during this process. She also blocked my phone number because I was calling to get information that I was entitled to. I am very very discouraged and unhappy with Angela's services.
