I kept my account even though I lived all over the globe courtesy of Uncle Sam. Now it's money grubbing Texar.... my exhusband deposits a check into my account. It bounced. Rather than going after him they took the $1,000 and added it to my car loan!!! I got behind on my payments at that time but I paid religiously every 2 weeks when I got paid. 2 years after the divorce I was able to increase what I paid and finally caught up! Im now $1,276 away from paying off my car and I'm now okay financially so I decided to ask for a $1,500 personal note and they could use my car or another car I have that is paid off as collateral. Their answer? No... you were slow to pay for a year. My answer? I'm paying off my car and after being a customer for over 30 years I'm closing my account.
