Beware - I strongly advise you to steer clear of this company…read more When my job was being relocated to another state, I decided not to move and began focusing more closely on my IRA. I had already taken a significant loss of about $35,000 during the market downturn in the fall of 2022. Around that time, I heard about Talon from a radio program and decided to give them a try. I met with a local representative, John, who reviewed my numbers and projected a 12-15% return on my investments. I decided to move forward and invested $228,000 with them in October 2022. What I wasn't told--and what I later learned--was that I could have simply left my existing investments in place and had Talon take over as the manager. Instead, all of my prior investments were liquidated, and everything was restarted from scratch. In 2023, my portfolio returned just 4%, after fees. I had been told their fee would be 1% annually, but I frequently raised concerns throughout the year because half of my money was just sitting idle in a money market fund. By the second year, I was still dissatisfied. I raised my concerns again in the fall, which led to some adjustments--but 2024's return dropped to just 2.6%. I then discovered I was actually being charged 2% per year in fees--not the 1% I was originally told. When I brought this up, they wanted to schedule a meeting to "look into it." At that point, I had already made up my mind to leave. I genuinely believe my account wasn't large enough for them to care about managing it properly.

-------------------…read more I've had nothing but a bad experience with these people with homeowners insurance. The first agent I signed up with made several bad mistakes during the sign up process. First she gave me an incorrect quote and had to raise the quote higher than what she had originally told me. Then when I still signed up with them, she made several errors on the paperwork that I wasn't aware of which resulted in the price going up by several hundred dollars a few months into the policy. She did make things right for the year atleast and admitted her mistake. And I can say atleast she answered the phone and made time to talk to me when I called, which is more than I can say for her replacement... Denise. When it came time to renew my policy, I found that the first agent was gone and replaced by Denise. I found Denise to be difficult and impossible to work with. I felt she was unwilling to do what I asked, was consistently argumentative on the phone, and was rude. She also complained about her workload during conversations (seemingly using it as an excuse why she hadnt done what I asked) and on atleast 2 occasions, told me she was too busy to stay on the phone with me because she had another client waiting. It was for these reasons that I fired this agency after giving them more than enough 2nd chances, and switched to a different one. No idea if Denise is still there but I won't hire them again either way.

Alex has always been very responsive, intentional and informative. Most recently, I made a purchase of a new vehicle. Going to the weekend I let him know and he and his team set me up with a quote, based on my possible options of vehicles that I was considering. He then went a step further and gave me his personal number in the event I decided to make a decision during non business hours. Sure enough, I made a 3.5hour drive to look at a potential vehicle, that was not what I originally told him, on a Sunday. Once I settled on which car I wanted the process started moving quickly. I called Alex and he stepped away from his personal time and helped me with navigating through Progressive's App to show proof of insurance. Then gave me honest advice, even though I might not wanted to hear it, in regards to the purchase of GAP insurance. Very very very helpful and blessed to have him and the team helping me do what's best for me and my family. Made my life easier... :)
