Many years ago boys and girls school had same administrators. It was good. But these days, boys and girls schools have separate administrators and different teachers. Boys' school administrators are LAZY! Many of the "teachers" there have no credentials. Many parents agree they only wasted their money, time and energy sending their boys to that school. Our sons could be achieving so much in different schools. But due to Juan Gracia, Reed Smith and others who completely lack compassion, take advantage of the school being Buddhist and private and nobody checking on them have no regards to the boys' academics and emotional well beings. They let their friends and family work there who also have no positive influence to our sons. In one word they do Not care about the boys there. They know they are sheltered there. Many of the boys are very stressed out not because of school load but because of the adults' attitudes there. Academics are bad. The boys who should be tomorrow's leaders are already giving up.

Love seeing the peacock family touring around with a nice diversity of the family members and their squirrel friends. I love how friendly people here are. I especially appreciate my experience at the bookstore/gift shop. They helped me find the perfect GuanYin for my meditation area and showed me many tips. I only wish that they can host somewhat frequent weekend retreats. I would love to come back to practice over the weekend. Many thanks to the wonderful people practicing here or helping out here. We really enjoyed walking around and exploring the beautiful and peaceful grounds. The City of Ten Thousand Buddhas is a large Buddhist monastery in Ukiah, California. The community includes a temple, schools, a vegetarian restaurant, and an animal sanctuary. The "Ten Thousand Buddhas" refers to the thousands of Buddha statues lining the walls of its temple. It is known for its peaceful, meditative environment and its emphasis on spreading Buddhist teachings, especially the principles of non-violence, vegetarianism, and mindfulness. We dined at the Jyun Kang Vegetarian restaurant and had crispy noodles and vegetables, fried rolls, and sweet and sour protein balls. All were very tasty!

First off, I'm not converting to Christianity. I am still Buddhist…read more But for a university assignment, I had to do a "culture shock" homework assignment. I want to be an educator so the teacher required us students to go to a place we wouldn't usually go and experience that nervousness that some immigrant children might feel when they come to school in the US, away from friends and family, immersed in a different language. So I had to attend a church service. I didn't know what to expect when I first drove into the driveway. I did feel a little out of place since I am Buddhust, and I did feel kind of conspicuous as an Asian in a predominantly white church. But everyone was really friendly. One of the musicians said "we won't try to convert you", after hearing about my assignment. At least five people shook my hand and said hi. I definitely think all the religions of the world can work together to bring peace to this war-torn, poverty-stricken world. Some people may say that the worst problems of the world are caused by religion (those like Mao Ze Dong of China who renounced religion also did a lot of harm) but I think peace can also be found within religion. I'm still Buddhist! But all religions of the world have a lot of common. So, here's to peace for all people of the world!
