Andrew took the time to listen to my complex situation involving business ownership, prior trusts,…read moreretirement funds, and complicated family matters. The result was a comprehensive estate planning package, multiple trusts, asset transfers into trusts, beneficiary adjustments, etc. He kept me informed throughout the process and delivered exactly what I needed. I had it reviewed by my tax accountant and my financial advisor and they commented "wow the most comprehensive" they have seen. The office staff is always cheerful and helpful as well. Pleasure to do business with and I don't really love working with attorneys. Strongly recommend.

He did not explain in detail why monies should be moved to various accounts and exactly when. As a result, medicaid and tax look back periods were missed and the folks ended up paying more in taxes than they should, and missed deadlines when the law changed on look back periods. When he created the trusts he copied one document to the other and didn't correct all the name and beneficiary changes. I had to review the documents in his office and found all the errors. He blamed it on his staff, but that is shoddy. He's not cheap! We ended up finding out all the flaws to the trusts on our own because he was not available for follow up consultation. He's perfectly intelligent, but the way he explains things to a novice is too fast and without the context needed for comprehension. There was no attendant documentation to help us through the process either, which seems like it could have been created for many of his clients without having to be customized.

I wouldn't waste a cent on these people…read more In 2020, my Mom paid an attorney with this firm, Laura Petrelli, to create a General Durable Power of Attorney, a Medical Power of Attorney, and a will. My Mom made sure I had copies and gave me Laura's business card and said she would answer any questions about the documents that I had. In 2021, I did need to ask questions and I called Laura Petrelli. I was charged $100 for an hour-long consultation to ask questions about documents she was already paid to create. But ok. I paid it, and got answers to the questions I had at the time. In 2022 my Mom became very ill and very fast. I had to use the General Durable Power of Attorney, and more questions arose. Laura was away on vacation, and I kept getting messages back from her paralegal saying it was a conflict to talk to me?? After persisting and calling and emailing Laura for days, she finally got back to me to tell me my Mom had called her and left a message saying she wanted to change the POA. My mom was not feeling well, and angry at her situation, and this very well may have been true. However, I was still named POA at that time, and needed Laura to answer questions about the document! No legal advice-- just a question about how the document was filled out. Next, I'm trying to sell my Mom's house, as she had been admitted to a nursing home, and I learn that I need original copies of the POAs and the will in order to be able to do anything. NOT ONCE did Laura ever tell me this. I asked my Mom, and she also didn't know this. Mom didn't know where the originals were. She had a folder from Peek Goldstone, and it contains copies-- no originals. My Mom swore she was never given originals and everything she was given was in the folder. We looked through everything she had and couldn't find the originals. Laura Petrelli says she doesn't have originals and can't help us. My Mom has passed, and now I've hired another lawyer to help me get through probate. That's right. Despite the fact that my Mom spent hundreds of dollars to try and be prepared, it was all for nothing. But Peek Goldstone sure got their money. I know not all of this is Laura Petrelli's fault, but I do feel she could have done a FAR better job of leading my Mom and I through this process. And I do feel the term "money hungry" fits, since it seemed like I couldn't get any help unless I was willing to pay.

I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND this firm…read more **Edit** After I expressed my concern with his firm, Ron Salas dismissed my wife and I as clients over email due to my "tone". the email I wrote is the review below almost verbatim (I changed the pronouns). **Edit** Documents and information intended for me were sent to someone else instead. I understand mistakes happen but in this instance we are dealing with highly sensitive, highly personal documents pertaining to an extremely emotional subject. Double checking email addresses seems like a small thing to ask. Perhaps The Salas Law Firm takes divorce lightly because it is just another day in the office, but for ME, it's a living nightmare, an utter embarrassment, and a complete catastrophe. And they have compounded all that by giving me a new nightmare to contemplate, embarrassing me further, and complicating an already insufferable process. So, I would like to register my EXTREME disappointment with this firm. Not only did I never receive the documents promised, but I had to find out from my soon to be ex-wife that documents containing my personal information and details of our divorce were sent to some random person. Supposedly this person sent them screenshots of the "unread" email and the empty inbox after he deleted the email. But anyone with a gmail account can open an email, download the contents, and mark it unread in 3 mouse-clicks. It seems to me that this breach of privacy may also constitute a breach in attorney-client confidentiality, which is extremely concerning.
