I went to their event in Richmond BC, at the Sandman Hotel on Feb. 15/26. There were two…read moreindividuals working. I had a large amount of gold, jewelry and coins that I was looking to sell. One ring that I had was previously appraised for insurance purposes, so that was the only item that I had a good idea what it was worth. I presented this as the first item, to get an idea if they were going to try and low ball me on the rest of my items. I handed them the ring and was asked if I had an appraisal, which I answered yes, and they asked me if they could see it, while studying the ring. I replied that I would like to know what they would offer me first. They replied that there was important information on the appraisal that they needed to know first. I asked them what they would offer me if I didn't have the appraisal. They quickly dropped the ring on the table and curtly said "I'm not interested." I picked up my ring and my bag with the rest of my items and got up to leave. As I walked out the door I said "Well that just tells me that you're trying to rip me off." A second person, that had not been dealing with, aggressively asked "What did you say?" I replied "You heard me, would you like to do something about it?" They then made an aggressive posture and said "Why don't you come back in here." Not wishing to escalate things any further I decided to leave. I guess I should have checked the reviews first, and saved myself the time and gas money I wasted to get there, as they are clearly not rated well. I've seen reviews noting that they are aggressive (can attest to that) and that they prey on the elderly and people that don't know what their items are worth. I get that they are not going to give you the full value for your items as they need to make money as well. Pawn shops run on the same type of business model, but most do it reputably. I guess when you are a travelling show (two days only!!), like these guys, you don't have to worry about people coming back to complain about getting shafted. I guess this time I keep the goldmine and they get the shaft. lol Beware of scammers folks, they're everywhere.

Folks BEWARE I am…read morenot HAPPY with these scam artists, It's entirely my fault, i didn't do my homework as I should have and got royally ripped off, I sold 18K gold jewelry and 14K gold jewelry, They don't show you the weight scale as they weigh the jewelry and I didn't ask to see it so I basically took their word for the total weight, I only realized this later, They paid .68/c per gram for 18K They paid .45/c per gram for 14K This pricing is way to low, A real bunch of crooks/thieves Do I have any recourse now??
