Below is why... 1st. Everyone here has an attitude. When you call, if they answer, you will never speak with Michele and if you do you'll quickly realize why everyone else is rude. Short, not friendly, and seems to out of her way to not help or ensure the worst outcome. 2. Focusing on higher premiums over savings or putting energy into helping you get a good price. 3. If you flagged cost 'ever' they get pissed instead of helpful. 4. Wrong filing on accidents. I had a cracked windshield they listed as an accident. This jacked my cost. I asked them to fix the reporting and they literally told me "You do that, we don't" and wouldn't lift a finger. Overall horrible people and experience.

Run, don't walk away from Geico. This company is disaggregated, meaning it has no central…read moregovernance. Each state is responsible for its policy holders in that state. I've been an insurance holder with Geico for several years, and thankfully haven't had to file a claim. Earlier this year, my brother passed away. He was also a Geico auto insurance policy holder. In order to help settle his affairs, I sent Geico a death certificate. They told me they'd cancelled his policy, but then promptly began sending me collection letters for his final $384 payment. There was no estate to settle with nor was I an executor. But, my reward for sending along my brother's death certificate was Geico attaching my address with my brother's policy and then inundating me with an unending stream of letters and emails telling me to pay his bill under threat of debt collectors. I made call after call to Geico (they won't correspond with you via email). Each time, I was told the bill would be dismissed and the situation resolved, and each time, the harassment continued. Finally, I let them know I'd be cancelling my policy when it expired as I would never want to be associated with a company so poorly run that they couldn't handle a simple situation as a customer's death. None of the banks or credit card companies I contacted had any problems settling the issue. So, here's what Geico accomplished by harassing me about my dead brother's insurance bill. 1) They didn't get one cent closer to getting the money, nor will they ever as there's no estate 2) They've lost another customer for life. And, believe me when I say, they've shown absolutely no concern over the latter. Geico is so poorly run that I cannot imagine a good experience with a claim, and therefore, I'll repeat my initial advice: Run, don't walk, away from Geico.
