My sister and her now husband had only glowing things to say. She mentioned Brooke's style was very unintrusive and her suggestions were always that ... suggestions... Ang even mentioned how Brooke explained she and her husband had to stay out of sight before the reception, otherwise guests would be delayed in being seated.... difficult for them, but very understandable... just a hint of what makes Brooke so great.

There are many high quality wedding planners for Napa Valley, however, if you are looking for one…read morethat conducts business with integrity, I would not recommend Angela N. of Lulu Events and here is why... We signed Angela as our planner in May 2010 to help us with our Napa Valley destination wedding in October 2010. As we were planning our wedding from Asia and had less than 5 months til the big day, we needed a planner who was available and flexible to meet our demanding schedules. She claimed to be the "BEST PLANNER IN NAPA", provided us with "great" references, and assured us that she was very experienced in working with overseas clientele, so we paid our 50% of the fee to go ahead with Angela. (Note, she also emailed us that another party wanted to sign with her for an October 2010 event and given she has a quota of events she can do, we felt some time pressure... though, it was still our fault we didn't spend enough time to look around more thoroughly). Unfortunately, shortly after signing the contract we realized Angela was not right for us. We found out early on that her schedule was not very flexible to our needs and she was at times even unaware of the drastic time zone differences. Apart from canceling & re-scheduling several of our conference calls, she was unable to meet us for two separate in person appointments that we had flown in for from Asia. The first time was a brief business visit to the Bay Area, but given the short notice of our travel itinerary and not being her clients yet, we gave her the benefit of the doubt. But she was unavailable again when we planned to do another week long visit to the Bay Area/Napa to do our wedding site check and by that time, she was our planner. Maybe she was stretched too thin, or we were too far away, or we were not considered a big budget wedding, or that she often flies back and forth between Napa and southern California...but nonetheless something was wrong. Within the first week of signing on, Angela was out of pocket for the first few days, then she emailed to reschedule our conference calls that week and by the end of the week, we were told she would not be able to accommodate us when we were in town for our site check. With the distance and impending time crunch until the wedding, it was at that moment that we realized this was not going to work out and that Angela would not be able to provide the service we needed. We explained this to her over the phone and reiterated our concerns over email before asking if we could receive our money back or be billed for the work she had already done so that we could mutually cancel the contract. We thought this was a reasonable request given that only a few hours of work had been done so far and that our schedules just could not match hers. However, she was surprised at our request and refused to not only not provide the requested refund, but also stopped returning our calls and emails to work out an amicable solution. In the end, we were able to find a different wedding planner and had an incredible wedding. However, we are deeply disappointed that Angela seemed more focused on her bottom line than caring about the wedding couples who have been saving and working so hard for their special day...

Heather is kind, knowledgable, honest, and excellent at communicating. I planned my entire wedding long distance, and Heather made the whole process so easy. Our first phone conversation was extremely helpful, and she was able to answer all my questions. She gave me tons of recommendations, and because of Heather, I also found my caterer... whom we loved. Heather thinks of absolutely EVERYTHING. She is professionalism at its finest. The flowers at my wedding were breathtaking. It ended up raining on our wedding day-- of course, every brides worst fear. Last minute all the plans changed and our whole wedding moved indoors. The rain must truly make for a lucky bride because I still can feel the overwhelming sense of warmth and magic that showered us that day. The flowers were jaw-dropping gorgeous...everything I dreamt of and more. Heather was able to re-arrange some previous plans and re-create my walkway. Since we were unable to use the rose petals indoors, Heather created flower arrangements in jars that she hung from the chairs. I love how Heather took the reins, and created a little piece of heaven at our wedding. Her arrangements are dense with the most healthy and beautiful flowers. People for weeks following the wedding kept complimenting me on the flowers. The barrel arrangements she made created a perfect look for my ceremony, and then later for the sweet heart table. The bouquets were just gorgeous and the men's boutonnieres were beyond perfect. I was so lucky to have been able to find Heather as the florist for our wedding. Heather helped to make our wedding the best day of our lives! Tiffany

She is very easy to work with and really listened to our ideas, themes, and design hopes. We were on the less traditional side with many things related to the ceremony and reception and she was very happy to go along with our ideas and even add more! It made it very easy for us to put together a "custom" wedding with the greatest of ease. Her flowers were amazing too! We were really pushing our budget and she was very helpful with some suggestions. My bouquet was perfect, exactly how I always dreamed it would be. We also had some specific ideas about our center pieces that my groom worked on for a few months (he ordered some succulent holders and other items, and made custom boxes to hold flower arrangements), and she was happy to work with these items and ideas. And they came out so beautifully. Day of coordination: awesome. Just awesome. The day really does fly by if you are getting married, you hardly have a chance to catch your breath. She made sure so much was happening behind the scenes that I never had to worry about, it was wonderful. And my groom and I had two custom drinks, and during the cocktail hour, when, as the bride, you are having people come up to you every 30 seconds, Lorin just kept bringing me my themed cocktail when she saw I was out! I thought that was so sweet! Bottom line, don't hesitate to book Lorin for any aspect of help with your wedding. It will ease your mind and your day will be as close to perfect as you can get.
