I literally had to have an 8 inch needle stabbed in my belly button multiple times to suck the excess fluid out of my belly button, while I was awake. I spent 2 days in the hospital and left with a drain connected to my stomach for another about a week to drain out fluid. I am 24 years old and was a collegiate athlete a few years ago (NCAA National Champion). I am young and healthy and I promise you this experience was brutal and the most painful thing I have ever experienced. I would not recommend this place as I put my trust in them and they let me down terribly. P.S I missed about a month from work after the surgery and after my visit to the ER. I am still not 100% and it is 6 weeks out for a procedure that typically take a few weeks to recovery. This Dr. has yet to take responsiblity or even reach out to explain what happened. I still am making payments for a surgery that has set me back a few months and a lot of PTO.

His recommended approach was conservative, his staff was friendly and organized, and I didn't wait more than 5-10 minutes. I am a self-pay patient and his prices were excellent.

Dr. Miller and the entire staff are simply terrific! He was referred by my GP (Dr. Brad Gates)…read moreand it was one of the best decisions I've made to make an appointment. Dr. Miller has a very easy going and gentle personality..., which is intangibly important to me and my wife! My initial reason for seeing him was due to my left shoulder causing me pain. Ironically, I had a skiing accident that resulted in a tear of my MCL just prior to seeing Dr. Miller initially. After an MRI, he treated the MCL tear and shoulder pain with PT initially and didn't rush me into making a surgical decision. In addition, he gave me a cortisone shot for the shoulder which released the pain. The MCL healed nicely without any further procedure being required; however after 6 months the shoulder did get worse due to a separate but freak accident, so we decided that surgery was the only option that would relieve the pain permanently. This was the best decision, because the arthroscopic procedure revealed a massive tear of the supraspinatus which required 6 anchors instead of the normal 4 to reattach it properly. The entire experience has been outstanding and thankfully, the pain has been minimal. You can probably tell I really think the world of Dr. Miller and would recommend him to anyone who needs orthopedic care mostly because of his extensive experience and thorough approach.

I had a laparoscopic repair done by Dr. Cottrell, for an inguinal hernia. Surgery went fairly well…read moreand while recovery was painful, it seemed normal. Cut to 3 months later, I wake up with my one of my testicles, same side as hernia, backwards or leaning the wrong way. There is a constant dull ache, accompanied by a pulsing cramp in it. I called to schedule a follow-up and was given an appointment a week out. I finally make it to my appointment and Dr. Cottrell is confused on why I am even there. I have no clue why my notes to nurse didn't get provided to him. I explain my issue and he tells me to drop my pants. He takes a quick look and touches my testicles and makes me cough. He tells me to ignore it and move on. He tells me nothing needs to be done. Confused, I said, but there is a pain accompanying it, it's not just a cosmetic issue. He says, if it is still like that in 3 months, come back in. I have to sit here with a constant pain/ache, and just deal with it? The whole point of getting my surgery was to get away from pain. Now, not only am I in pain again, but my right testicle looks absolutely ridiculous. I really wish I would have delved deeper into asking about their work with correcting post-surgery complications. I am currently speaking to a second opinion service offered through my company. I cannot believe that just deal with it is the only option. It is absolutely unacceptable. Dr. Cottrell was friendly as can be before surgery, now he's acting like I am a bother. If you don't have any complications, I'm sure he's a great surgeon. If you do, good luck. I've been dealing with this for close to a month at this point.

I went to my PCP to get authorization for a diagnostic mammogram at Solis Mammography. They diagnosed me with a complication caused by my breast reconstructive surgery. They recommended a few breast surgeons who could repair it. I researched at least 6 surgeons from that list and decided on Dr. Iyengar. She has excellent reviews everywhere except here. I had to make a decision based on my case. Making an appointment was easy. All of the staff was kind and compassionate. Dr. Iyengar reviewed the information from Solis, did a sonogram, and said I needed surgery to repair it. My pre-op was with Amy, her PA, who took her time going over paperwork and answered all my questions. Everything was scheduled and processed through the Texas Health app. My surgery was at Craig's Ranch Surgery Center. It was a smooth process from beginning to end. I had my post-op follow-up appointment today. The surgery was successful, my drains were removed, and I felt confident in following Dr. Iyengars advice regarding the remaining issues.

Dr. Iyengar told me 2 days after my double mastectomy that she found cancer in my lymph nodes and chemo was needed immediately (family present). My treatment plan entailed 14 rounds (4 rounds of Adriamycin and 10 rounds of Taxol)...30 Sessions of radiation to my chest wall, mind you, my chest expanders were still in my chest cavity during this time. After my treatment process, I pulled my medical records and reviewed and also had them professionally reviewed and found out I DID NOT HAVE LYMPHATIC CANCER!!!! I had clear margins and the treatment was too aggressive and given to patients with stages 3 or 4 cancer. I now suffer from multiple chronic illnesses. My health, career, and overall life are now ruined because of her greed. Dr. Iyengar does not obey her Hippocratic oath and does hurt beyond repair. My chest wall was so severely burned by the radiation, after almost 5 years I am still unable to complete the reconstruction process. I have horrible scars and my chest looks like it was mauled by a pit bull. I confronted Dr. Iyengar about my treatment once the review of records was completed. I asked her why did you tell me I needed chemo and I didn't? Her response was "Because you were young and you could handle it!" "Move on with your life, its hard to sue doctors in Texas!" I literally felt my heart drop and I became numb. It was like she knew what she did was wrong and didn't care because the laws in Texas were on her side. She doesn't care that my children were traumatized from watching me go through completely unnecessary treatment. I am now bankrupt and unable to send my daughter and son through college, let alone keep food in my house thanks to her ruining my health.  P.S. Run from this doctor, don't let your Wife, Sister, Daughter, Cousin...or Friend receive treatment from Dr. Iyengar. -KS from Mckinney, TX. Records, pictures, and recordings are available
