This office serves as the reception desk for the building. It is manned by the a lethargic,…read moreimpertinent receptionist. She'll feign an attempt to peek over the two large monitors in front of her to ask where your badge is before asking if you're a visitor. After you have been forced to give her an apologetic explanation as to why and who you're visiting, she finally begrudgingly erects herself off her chair. Watch your back though because if someone is standing there talking to her when you ask her to let you up to the second floor, she will give you a face of disapproval. Then she'll proceed to give an even more disrespectful and blatant look of disapproval to her companion once you've turned your back to her. This has the added bonus of her scouring the entire time she has to escort you from the counter to the elevator. It makes for a great start to the day and really calms the nerves right before pitching business in a big meeting. Would I trust CareersUSA to hire a great receptionist or administrative assistant for us? Not likely.

They were also so kind as to provide lunch daily following the storm while everyone was recovering (many without power and unable to bring their lunch). As regular perks we have bagels and donuts on Fridays, casual Fridays, discounted event tickets program, daycare, cell phone service and equipment and car leasing, etc. Excellent health, dental and vision benefits. There are opportunities to move up within the organization quickly for diligent employees.

I haven't been able to contact her supervisor yet but I went through the whole onboarding process, and now I am soured to Cross Country healthcare entirely (mostly because their onboarding was really slow).

I got a contract with Flexcare through Cross Country at the University of Vermont Medical Center…read more Upon arrival to my first day of orientation, found out the nurses were planning to strike later that week if their union was not able to make a fair agreement with the hospital. The on site Manager for Cross Country, Brittany Ouellette, asked me if I was planning on going to work those days. I stated that this was the first I am hearing of this and didn't know but would assume I would go to work. She did not mention any repercussions if I chose to not come in. The supervisor for my location of work asked me as well if I was planning to participate in the strike informing me it was my right and choice. Ends up the strike happened, I supported the nurses at the picket line. Told my supervisor and she just said thanks for letting her know. The following week at work, I got a call from my recruiter with Flexcare expressing how Cross Country had just cancelled my contract. WHAT?!? NO ONE had informed me that was an option if I did not come in on the days of the strike. My supervisor was in surprised I found out about the cancellation and stated that they were working on trying to let me stay. I reviewed with Brittany Ouellette what she had shared with me that first day of orientation and reminded her that she did not mention any negative action if I did not go to work those strike days. Brittany Ouellette stated there were multiple emails from Cross Country and that my recruiter knew and that she did tell me. FLAT OUT LIES!!! I'm a responsible adult and even more so when it comes to my nursing career and patients. If I would have know the outcome would have been different. DO NOT WORK WITH CROSS COUNTRY!! If you cross paths with Brittany Ouellette, do not believe anything she says.

I had retired but my husband lost his income from the COVID-19 pandemic so I decided to return to the workplace. They quickly got me a great spot for decent money and a healthful situation as a remote CSR for a nationally-known brand. This is a 5-Star Corporation and, as a temp, you couldn't ask for more stability, benefits, and quality, not to mention friendly, outstanding people skills from Juli and Jayme. I recommend them highly.

One of the questions asked by Laura was, "I see you just got your Masters Degree in Health Administration, did you want to continue in that direction?" No, I did that for shits and giggles to waste time and a lot of money. I asked if they worked with anyone in the health care field and she said I had to be more open. Thank you so much for wasting my time. She couldn't tell me whether or not they had any jobs available, made me make a movie of myself, which was complete crap, had the personality of a dead mouse with zero eye contact. Don't get me started on the assessment test that I had to take. What utter nonsense. Oh yeah and I haven't heard back. If you want a career, that's great, but don't waste your time with these people; they don't care, they are very unprofessional and they don't have anything for you, except an unpaid day from work. Awesome.
