While cleaning out my mother in laws' storage unit this past Wednesday, my fiancé spilled brown and white paint all over the backseat of my grandparents car. I could have strangled him. We had just flew into Kona from Honolulu and had only two days to completely clear out his mother's storage - we absolutely did not have time for this. On top of that, this was my grandparents' car. I've seen my grandmother completely lose her shit over a dirty cup left on the counter and here I was with puddles of paint just soaking into the backseat of her car.
The one thing my fiancé did right that day was call Inside Out Auto Detailing. The guy he spoke to said he was completely booked, but offered us the use of his machine to try and get the paint out. When we got to the shop, I think he saw the panic in my fiancé's face and instead of just allowing us to use the machine on our own, actually cleaned out the paint for us. He unbolted the back seat and completely scrubbed every inch of carpet and fabric that had paint on it. In less than 45 minutes, the car looked as good as new and my fiancé didn't even have to confess to my grandparents that he almost ruined the entire backseat of their car.
Braddah,
I didn't get your name but I can't tell you how much the compassion and kindness you showed to us meant. I hate to admit it, but if the tables were turned and it was me in your position, I can't say I would've done the same. You not only saved my butt, but you truly inspired me to show more compassion and kindness to others on a daily basis. My fiancé unexpectedly lost his mom three weeks ago and we were in Kona to clear out her things. You made an already almost unbearable trip for my fiancé a little bit easier. Thank you so much. read more
