My biggest worry about automatic car washes are getting scratches, but my car came out just fine! It did a pretty good job of getting off the salt. The pen they used to write on the windows for shipping was still there (can't blame them as that thing is hard to get off) but there was some salt residue in places. Definitely recommend using the microfiber towel to dry off the car after it comes out. The sign says you get 7 min to vacuum and dry off after coming out of the wash. No one's got you on a timer, but just be mindful if there are people waiting :)

The force of the water spray is so strong that it snapped off the Big Island Toyota license-plate holder on a black late-model Toyota 4Runner. The broken-off piece was ejected out of the wash. To be fair, I cannot say if the licence-plate holder was installed correctly. There is a warning posted regarding loose parts. I was behind the 4Runner at about 12:30 pm 7-29-2018, waiting my turn. I backed out of the line and told the cashier. I could not get my money back because I had already entered the code, but I am just so glad I did not enter the wash. The station is not responsible for damages as a standard policy. Please check for loose parts before entering the car wash.

Pretty good K-chicken!…read more When visiting Kona (kinda often), this is my last stop before returning my rent-a-car at Keahole-Kona Airport to fill up gas. Usually it's in the mid to late afternoon, so sometimes I buy my "Linner" to take to the airport and eat it there (maybe even sneak it into the airport restaurant (after buying a drink there) occasionally! Shhh!!! .... ) So I almost always get a small take out container with a scoop of rice and 1 or 2 pieces of their fried Korean Chicken. Yum! That, add some cabbage that has been soaking in that Korean BBQ sauce, put it over the rice.... yum P: When you look at the display case, it might look unassuming, but (in my opinion) it is ONO! Best part is crunching on the saucy skin! Kinda on the pricey side for a piece of chicken and not the most heart healthy ... but oh well, heck, I'm on travel, so it's not like I'm buying it everyday! Gas prices are typically "Kona" (expensive) ... but within the ballpark of other places. But this is one of the more convenient stops I make along the Queen K Highway on the way to the airport... Got other things in the deli/warmer section... they're 'okay', but it's the K fried chx that convinces me to buy gas at this stop along the way!
