Update: One afternoon while leaving a friends house, their wood fence 'jumped out' and caused a scrape on the rear passenger side fender. I sent Shannon the pics and asked if he would be able to buff it out ... made an appointment for him to look at the fender and he said he would try and make the scrape less obvious. In 2025 took it in to have some warranty work done on the rear window because of bubbling. Johnny scraped off enough of the rear defrost lines rendering the defroster useless. And still charged me $100. I had to pay $650 for a whole new back window! When I called him he said he told me that there was a possibility that the defroster wouldn't work after. Certainly there is a way of removing tint without the use of a scraper with a razor blade. He then told me that this is Hawai'i and no one uses there rear defroster anyway! Unbelievable! We had agreed on him paying for half the price of the window and he still couldn't honor that agreement. Coming up short. And when asked about the charge for warranty work that the manufacturer pays him to do he couldn't come up with a decent answer. Even though he posts videos on social media saying that there is no charge to the customer for warranty work! I have talked to people saying that Lacy would have done right and took care of this entirely. So to everyone that has gone here and had good things to say just know that you better be ready to pay for warranty work that Llumar pays him to do and there is a high potential that your rear defroster won't work if you have the back tint replaced here. It's a shame that this guy is ruining his dads business. He also told me after putting the tint on to tell all my boys about him. I did. Told them to tell all there boys to tell there boys to never go to this guy. He posts about being best in the west. Far from it in my opinion. Good luck to all of you.

Overall, I've…read morehad positive visits here in the past--their safety checks are thorough and well-done, which is why we keep coming back. That said, heads up: they no longer accept walk-ins for safety checks; it's strictly by appointment only now. When we arrived without one, the staff member was quite abrupt, asking if we had an appointment and then saying it's "been like that for a long time" when we explained we didn't know. However, just a year ago, we walked in without issue, so this seems like a fairly recent change. She mentioned we could pay an extra $35 to get squeezed in right away, but that felt a bit off-putting. It's totally understandable to switch to appointments for better organization, but it wasn't mentioned on their Yelp page (which, as of today, doesn't even link to their website--and that's the only way to make an appointment). Plus, their Square appointment site requires you to enter a credit card, and you'll be charged a $10 fee if you don't cancel at least 24 hours in advance. A friendlier tone would have made this all much smoother. Just a suggestion for the team to update their Yelp info and handle these situations with a bit more warmth. Bottom line: Great service once you're in, but definitely book an appointment through their website ahead of time to avoid any hassle!

Donn (Owner/Manager) provided great details as to the possible problem. He had a strong belief it was an old tint issue and not the glass. Though his schedule was full Donn offered to come by in a couple of days. Upon inspection he confirmed it was an old tint deteriorating from age. He immediately replaced the tint and solved our problem. His knowledge, expertise and skill was exceptional. i have taken my car to kraftsman for several repairs - once when another car hit me and insurance…read morepaid the claim and once when i caused damage to my car. i have had several estimates. they charge nothing for an estimate, which i appreciate. their work is of high quality and the staff take pride in their work. unlike another collision company which my texas based insurance company chose, which is nationwide, they are owned locally. most recently gabe gave me an estimate. he was quick, thorough, and very professional. i cannot praise him and his company highly enough. i would recommend kraftsman for any personal vehicle body work - whether you or the insurance company are paying. they are not cheap. no one in hawaii is. but their quality is dependable and i think they are honest. a company that is characterized by integrity and competence - a good company to do business with.
