Highly recommend it before going to any snowboard or ski resort! I never snowboard before taking the lessons, I did the 3 lesson package to help learn the basics and get me comfortable enough to hit big bear for the first time! Mark helped me get the scheduling set up. Mieu taught me all 3 lessons prior to heading up. I had so much fun and felt safe and in control, I was able to do all the beginner slope of snow summit, bear mountain and snow valley! Mieu set me up for success! Not only was I able to be comfortable on heel edge for hours, I got to progress and was able to try toe edge! I fell less than expected while snowboarding, but you know what they say, "if you ain't falling, you ain't trying" So glad with the lesson! Definitely worth the value and made snowboarding fun and addicting!

My adult son with autism very much wanted to try the "ski carpet" - so we made it a special birthday present for him. His 12 year old sister participated as well, and it couldn't have gone better. Yes, it's expensive if you just want a single lesson, but there were multiple staff members required to make the lesson happen - and only two students on the carpet at once - so the pricing made sense. Looking at the price list, it does look like the price gets better if you want to come back later for the "conditioning sessions" (since they can have more than two students on the carpet)... but in our case, we just wanted to give our son a short and memorable "experience" (similar to "iFly" - something short but memorable). The staff was sooo friendly and encouraging! The lady who helped my son with his boots took the time to explain how the boots work... and at one point there were TWO staff members working directly with our son (one giving him instructions, and a second one moving his feet for him). Plus another staff member cheering him on from the desk. At the end of the lesson they let them "ride" the carpet to the top, which was a highlight. Both my son and his sister left with smiles on their faces. Huge thanks to the staff of Adventure Ski for making my son's special day a memory we'll treasure.

We enrolled my 5 year old daughter & 6 year son in 2 of the beginning 25 minute sessions before taking them to skii at Mammoth for their first time. Those 2 sessions were all that they needed! I really think it made a difference for their 1st skii sessions to be indoors and in normal clothes; not stifled in freezing cold air and stuffy snow clothes. This really helped them to get excited and feel confident about being on the mountain. Our kids now love skiing and get excited about our future trips!

First lesson, great instruction here!

A friend of a friend was celebrating her birthday and singing for open mic night. She invited us to go. I really did not know what to expect but I did know that it was a neighborhood bar atmosphere. Parking was ample and we were able to park in front. You could hear the music from the outside and the doors were open. They also have a nice little patio that advertised they had had a barbecue earlier in the day. We walked in the front door to this very eclectic small bar and made our way to the front to find our seats with the birthday girl. The tables and chairs were tightly packed, and it was a little challenging to navigate. It was quite loud, but people were clearly having a great time. It was a fun atmosphere and lots of people were dancing. The musicians kept rotating out and different genres were performed on a very crowded stage. You can tell it's a locals' favorite spot and people seemed to know each other. It was definitely an older crowd that night as well. It's a funky little dive bar with a great energy (at least the night we went). They have a calendar of events on the wall behind the bar. They have different kinds of music and different foods depending on the night. If I am in Encinitas and wanting a drink or non-pretentious environment, I would return.

We walked around though many different gardens. From the rainforest of Africa and past the waterfall to the desert area with native plants. There was an example of a Native American village complete with hut and grinding stone. We hiked up to the look out point where you can see the Pacific Ocean. There is a children's garden, playhouse, and a sandbox with toys. There are walking trails through out and many benches. I highly recommend bringing water, a hat, sunscreen and snacks. When I first arrived, I had a little trouble finding the front entrance because there are several buildings on the property. I had an amazing massage with Violet, who struck the perfect balance between relaxation and therapeutic care. She listened to exactly what my body needed and I left feeling completely renewed. Thank you, Violet! My facial with Alexis was one of the best I've ever experienced. The highlights were the lymphatic drainage massage, the cooling ice globes, and the incredible hydration my skin received. My face felt sculpted, refreshed, and absolutely glowing afterward. Thank you, Alexis! The spa itself is just as memorable as the treatments. We enjoyed relaxing in the tranquil outdoor spaces surrounded by greenery, the peaceful koi pond, and the calming ambiance that makes it easy to forget you're only minutes from San Diego.
