Review Your School As a student at Torrance Adult School, I…read morehave taken English, U.S. History and Economics classes for my high school diploma. Mrs. Hilary has helped me achieve my goals, by giving me the support I needed. I plan on taking art history, U.S. government classes next. Also, I will continue taking child development classes. Thanks DR. Estes, Veronica Nieves counselor for all the support given.

I took the Beginning Excel/Microsoft class and did NOT complete the course…read more I was extremely disappointed in the class structure and most of the students did NOT even know what a desktop was, know how to maneuver the mouse and worst did NOT know how to log in to their computer after weeks. They still needed assistance. This created a minimum of 20 minutes of the teacher trying to assist all these students who were lost. I felt like she relied on other students to help those students who needed help which isn't fair. They should have a prerequisite to this class MUST know basic microsoft, how to use a mouse, how to save/ download documents into a folder, etc. I decided to stop going to the class since the teacher had to focus on these others students and then when everyone was finally on the same page. She would literally rush through the chapter since of course our class was behind. I'm giving it 3 stars since this isn't the teacher's fault or the students. The school needs to do a better job in making some of these courses to having a prerequisite pertaining to that course.

I enrolled into this school and attended the LVN program. I think that if you can study on your own…read moreand understand your assignments then this is the school for you. You will feel like you aren't learning anything they had us wait for a clinical site for three months for a placement, during the waiting period we just sat in a room for 12 hrs without even practicing on the dummies they had us practice injections on HOT DOG LINKS. They don't answer the phone in a timely manner could take about a week or two weeks to hear back from someone. The lack of communication and organization is horrible. I finished the LVN and passed because of my dedication to study the material and utilizing ati and watching YouTube videos not because of the instructors or lecture. I finished the program in AUGUST of 2024 they didn't give us a ceremony until APRIL of 2025 wasn't even considered class of 2024 but 2025 makes no sense. The Ceremony was unorganized they had us do a practice run through for the ceremony, while family and friends were already seated which was embarrassing people were clapping thinking the ceremony had began just to have us walk out and come back in. There was also misspelling of names on the school ceremony pamphlet couldn't even get that right. Majority of the time we could barely understand the instructors because of their accents they always had last minute changes during the program. So if you're considering this school just make sure you've done all your research.

been with CCI for almost a year, we've only had one professor so far, DR.Q is very intelligent…read more once you get use to her teaching things flow much easier, shes very knowledgeable and dedicated to her students and helping you understand. shes not a babysitter though, so you must speak up to gain further knowledge. CCI is NOT for the mentally weak either. we had a nursing instructor named Jordoun. AMAZING RN. he makes learning fun! and makes you want to come back to class. I felt ready for clinical sites thanks to him and a lot of self learning and reading on my own.

I am currently a student in the CNA program at AECareer Institute in Los Angeles, and I feel…read morecompelled to share my honest experience especially for others considering this school. The primary instructor, Helen has repeatedly shared inaccurate and unprofessional information, particularly about COVID-19 patient care, etc. In one class, she told students that CNAs shouldn't work with COVID patients because "it's not worth risking your life for extra money," and claimed she was offered extra pay during the pandemic but refused to show up to work. She also suggested that those who did work "risked their lives unnecessarily." This type of message is highly discouraging and completely inappropriate for future healthcare professionals. In addition, Helen struggles with basic teaching fundamentals: * Mispronounces and misuses medical terminology * Gives unclear explanations of anatomy and physiology * Fails to answer questions, especially from online students, who are often ignored or dismissed. The online platform is not interactive, and lectures are rushed, making it hard to absorb essential material. It feels like the school is more focused on enrolling and graduating students quickly for revenue, not on delivering proper education. I've documented my experience and have recordings of class sessions where these statements were made. I've submitted a formal complaint to the California Department of Public Health for investigation. If you're looking for a serious, high-quality CNA program, I would not recommend AECareer Institute.
