Lovely surroundings. Excellent pub which was more like an upmarket brasserie whilst still having a cozy feel about it. Appears to be a very popular place with locals and those from further afield alike.
The only reason I'm marking it down to 3 stars is that we stayed there during a very hot spell in August 2007 and the room was sweltering. We tried to get a fan from reception but were unlucky to have missed out to someone else. Other than that, I couldn't fault the place./ Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food and drink were good and it gave my husband and I a lovely break away from reality.
Excellent complimentary buffet breakfast, which we were familiar with having used IL many times before. Excellent value for money especially when you book the three nights for the price of two deal. read more
