Tomorrow it is our son's turn at his senior picture experience and we're very excited, me, especially so, because I didn't get a chance to be in the studio myself last time, although I did get to follow via phone calls and texts with detailed play-by-play. :-) I highly recommend the Peters Photography experience and portraits. (Just make sure you sign up early because the schools-well, the yearbook publishers, I believe-often need the images sent to them by December.)

If you want digital copies you might have to remortgage your home. They use a very slick sales process (peters even puts on sales seminars for other photographers on how to do it from what another photographer told me). They make you sit down with them to see the prints and then give you very confusing pricing. It ruins the whole experience. I can't look at my daughters pictures without being resentful. Again...buyer beware.

(Full disclosure: I knew Rebekah as a friend before hiring her as a photographer.)…read more I found myself in a pinch needing a photographer for multiple Yelp events in one night, and it dawned on me that Liz M had mentioned our friend, Rebekah, was doing photography for her cookbook. I gave Rebekah a call (actually, I sent her bf a Facebook message), and she was happy to help me! Before the event, Rebekah asked for my expectations and the types of shots I wanted. We talked through the two events she was photographing, and we both felt good about them. She showed up early for the event and quietly got to work capturing some amazing shots of the event. Then, she left the first event in Dublin and traveled to the second one in Grandview. She beat me there and got right to work. I just opened my photos from the events, and they are spectacular. I know Rebekah's Facebook and website don't boast a lot about her event photography, but I think that's where she shines. She really captured the spirit and the joy in both events, and the photos will be fantastic marketing tools for me and the businesses featured. I'm really impressed with Rebekah's photography, and I had such a great experience working with her. Here are a few specifics of what I loved: -She asked for expectations upfront. -She arrived on time and didn't need much direction. -She walked the fine line of being part of the event but also blending into the background; sometimes photographers are so noticeable that people won't let their hair down and act natural. Rebekah was perfect! -Her photos really tell the story of the events--nothing posed and cheesy. -The turnaround for getting the photos back was really fast--the next day! This was my first time working with Rebekah, but it most certainly won't be my last. She is an absolute joy, and her work is stellar.

Finding a great photographer was one of the top priorities for my wedding, as I knew the photos would last long after the music had stopped playing and the cake gone. So I choose Addison after watching the outstanding work she did on my friend's wedding. She has an amazing eye for stunning shots and unique angles, using natural lighting in a way to deliver soft, high-contrast photos that absolutely take your breath away. In her hands, what would be a standard photo taken by anyone else comes out as a beautiful portrait that's beyond magazine and Instagram-worthy! She's pure magic. In fact, she delivered such amazing photos from both our engagement shoot and our wedding, that I truly got emotional both times when I first looked at them. And I've received so many compliments since at how beautiful the results were, with many guests have commenting that they're the loveliest wedding photos they've ever seen -- and all credit goes to Addison's talent!
