The nerve damage was, as I have now found out, temporary. I'm sure losing over 60 lbs and changing my lifestyle entirely helped in my recovery but I didn't start taking a true holistic approach to my care until I started seeing Lori. Now going on 3 years since since I first arrived I am better than ever and I know Lori's continuing support has been pivotal in my recovery.

It is not a place where you are able to "Zen" in any way. From hearing the practitioner speaking on her phone right outside your door whether it is closed or partially open, to hearing people enter, to hearing her send faxes, or to hearing or being bothered by her child entering your treatment room and running about the place. As far as the quality of care goes, that was subpar at best. The practitioner claims to be well-versed in Chinese medicine but when questioned about ingredients in topicals that she wanted to put on me during our first session, she had no idea about any of them on the brochure that she handed me to take home since I would not allow her to put it on me in the office without proper info. I mentioned to her ingredients that I absolutely cannot have, that were detrimental to my health and when I took the brochure home and educated myself on these ingredients this topical had ingredients that I absolutely could not have on my body. In terms of acupuncture treatment, all Lori the practitioner did each session was fill out a paper where my pains were and put the needles in the same areas each time where I had pain. Offering no insight/knowledge where other sights might be better or worse. I had to recommend where she should put a lot of needles as well from my over 20 years experience with working with experienced acupuncturists. She also came in with an iPad marking wherever she put needles and how many. Waste of time. She should have spent more time focusing on her patients, not her gadgets. Each time she would take out the needles one or two was always gone, because they do sometimes pop out and she would look at me l was hoarding them some where and I would have to educate her that they do pop out on occasion and I can't go far with needles in me. One time she came in my treatment room with a type of metal detector that looked like an antenna to try and find the needle as I was getting dressed. Absolutely, weird to say the least. As I was about to tell her to leave since she almost tripped a disabled person, she found the needle and she left my room. She is just very unprofessional and I would look elsewhere for your acupuncture needs. She does not have the proper education or the patients well-being as the forefront of her business. Eli

Daniel Seibert is one of the most learned and professional health practitioners I have ever met…read more The massage therapists he trains are the best I have ever experienced. No others in Northern California even come close to their level of education and skill. Their training in deep-tissue and injury recovery especially are far beyond anything I have been able to find anywhere else. I really miss them since moving to Sacramento, and may soon start making trips back up just to receive treatments at Daniel's office. The science and technology he applies is exceedingly rare, leading-edge and highly-effective. Many have considered Naturopathic medicine to be illegitimate or unreliable, but scientific research over the last 50+ years has proven otherwise, as leading-edge medical schools are now demonstrating with "Integrative Medicine" additions to their curriculum. Modern schools and medical practices, including injury and other trauma rehabilitation, now include many techniques and technologies formerly considered illegitimate or unfounded and therefore classified as Naturopathic or Alternative medicine. Don't waste 10-20 years waiting for this leading-edge knowledge and practice to become mainstream. Get the support you need now.

I have had LOTS of bodywork and sought out LOTS of medical support over the years, not only for my back, but also for other musculoskeletal issues and other health conditions. I have two young daughters, just turned 6 and 3, so I have been either pregnant, nursing, or lugging little kids around since I started working with Daniel 4-5 years ago. I have found Daniel to be extremely knowledgeable about a broad range of heath issues, and he has been able not only to help me with my back/neck issues when no one else has been able, but he has also provided homeopathic support for my sinus issues, which are now "fully under control." His bodywork style is very eclectic and different from anything else I've ever had. He does most of his work with the patient fully clothed, always checks pulses at the beginning of a session, and usually addresses neurolymphatic points first to release overall tension. This works incredibly well for me, and serves as a starting point before going in deeper with other modalities where needed. The frequency with which I have seen Daniel has varied over the years, ranging from weekly to less-than-monthly, as needed. Fortunately, things are pretty good for me at the moment so I have been seeing him less often. But any time my back threatens to "tweak" or is otherwise not functioning as well as I would like, Daniel is one of my first calls (often paired with chiropractic, as that seems to work well for me). I have found Daniel to be incredibly caring and his scheduling is usually flexible.
