Chrissy was amazing, she was so on top of everything and so easy to work with. The students did a fantastic job as the wait staff. The food was perfect! I love that we were able to pick our favorite dishes to be served; not many venues let you do that! Price was super reasonable as well. I'm so happy I chose this venue!! Unforgettable day. Thank you Chrissy and team.

Chef Andrea, who is a professor of the culinary school, also offers a lot of options to customize the menu. For example, we wanted to incorporate chestnuts and dates into our menu. We had this Korean traditional ceremony where our parents gave us blessings with chestnuts and dates. Chef Andrea customized hors d'oeuvre to be roasted chestnut crostini. We also had desserts with them - chocolate chestnut cakes & a family-recipe date bar. It was awesome. Many people complimented our food, and it made me very happy because food is such an important factor in our lives (I am Korean and we live in NYC - food is all we care about haha). Students of culinary school prepared and served our food - it was such an honor to have those enthusiasm and joy on our big day. The venue comes with the day of coordinator - Chrissy. I can't say enough about her. She is the best. After the first meeting with her, I told my husband "I think we're in good hands". She is a seasoned professional who knows the ins and outs of the wedding. In general, it is a great venue with a great price & great staff. Highly recommend. Photo credit: @nicolejkimphotography

An Unforgettable Evening at "Whiskey on the Water"…read more The "Whiskey on the Water" dinner series at Seascape Beach Resort is an absolute masterclass in hospitality. Jesse Scott and his team have created a hosting experience that rivals some of the finest dining events I've ever attended. Perched atop the Seascape bluff overlooking Monterey Bay, the setting is simply breathtaking. Watching the sunset over the Pacific creates the perfect backdrop for an elegant evening. What truly sets this event apart, however, is the exceptional service. Every member of the staff was attentive, polished, and genuinely invested in making the experience memorable. Their attention to detail rivaled--and in many cases exceeded--that of many five-star establishments. The food and whiskey pairings were outstanding. Chef Jae Moon delivered an exceptional menu that paired beautifully with an incredible selection of bourbons, including several rare expressions that even seasoned collectors don't often have the opportunity to enjoy. The educational component elevated the evening even further. The Suntory representative shared fascinating history and insights with the perfect balance of expertise, personality, and humor, making each tasting both informative and entertaining. From the spectacular setting and world-class hospitality to the remarkable food and exceptional spirits, every detail was thoughtfully executed. If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend attending one--or several--of these upcoming dinners. It was an unforgettable experience from start to finish, and I can't wait for the next one. Highly recommended!

From the moment we arrive, the staff is always warm, welcoming, and accommodating. We'd also like to give a special shoutout to the golf cart drivers--every single one we've had has been incredibly friendly, polite, and made getting around the resort such a pleasant experience. We love all of the nearby restaurants, and this time we finally had the chance to try Sanderlings. The food was delicious!! The resort itself is absolutely beautiful, but our favorite part is the direct beach access. The beach is always clean, peaceful, and the perfect place to relax and unwind. Seascape has become a special place for us, and we can't wait to continue making memories here. We'll definitely be back!

There are a lot of stairs but there is an option to ride down to the restaurant and back up in a cable car that runs diagonally from the street level to the restaurant. The menu has good variety. We had the baked Brie and calamari appetizer. Both were delicious. My entree was the Pacific Coast salmon that was served over a coconut rice and wakame salad. The plate was decorated with swirls of two sauces, a wasabi sauce and a ponzu sauce. The rice tasted like it had sushi rice seasonings. So good! I was so stuffed that I only had the. Two chocolate truffle dessert. They had many other choices that I wanted but was just too full. Next time, I want to ry the cheesecake, the molten lava cake, or another of their many choices. I'm already planning my next trip to Shadowbrook!

It somehow manages to feel quaint, elegant, and homey all at the same time. The service is consistently excellent, and we honestly haven't ordered anything here that we didn't like. Even the calamari deserves a special mention. Calamari feels like such a staple appetizer at so many restaurants that it's hard for one to really stand out, but somehow Shadowbrook does it. Their calamari is absolutely amazing. The beef Wellington, lobster tail with filet medallions, New York steak, and lamb have all been fantastic as well. One thing we especially appreciate is how family-friendly Shadowbrook is despite being such a fine establishment. They have coloring pages for kids, a varied children's menu, and even a little hat filled with toys that kids can choose from. Those small touches make it much easier to enjoy a special meal as a family. Without a doubt, Shadowbrook has become one of our favorite places for special occasions. And, of course, you can't talk about Shadowbrook without mentioning the iconic hillside cable car. It's the cherry on top and worth the ride every single time.

Throughout the year plus of planning, she kept us calm, focused and answered every single frantic email and question we had. We're a bit of an uptight group so there were lots : ) LJ was a HUGE help as we sorted out our vision and what we wanted -- and then followed through flawlessly on bringing that vision to life. She has an incredible eye for design and was instrumental in creating a beautiful setting that matched our vision at both the ceremony and the reception. One of my favorite things about LJ is that she always shared her opinion when asked, and when she disagreed or thought another option may be better than the direction we were headed, she'd respectfully share her point of view and get us back on track -- but I always felt like she respected what we wanted and supported it. All the vendors she recommended were AMAZING. She was straightforward with cost and how vendors stacked up against the competition. Even though she had relationships with many people in the industry, I always felt like she had our best interest in mind and represented us incredibly accurately and well. We paid extra for her to serve as point person for several shuttle buses. This was well worth it in that LJ created and delivered the complicated schedule as well as communicated with the drivers on the big day. What a load off! LJ provided a range of suggestions to make sure we understood our options (for example, for the Groom's Cake she suggested everything from an elaborate cake from a local artisanal bakery to Safeway and everything in between!), but when we just wanted her to handle something and not be weighed down by choices, she executed things flawlessly (such as delivering our welcome bags all over the Monterey Peninsula the day before the wedding!). On the day of, we had nothing to worry about -- everything that was within her control turned out flawlessly. She also navigated tricky situations with our on-site venue contact, who was a bit challenging to work with, and did a great job at managing her to make sure we had the day we envisioned. I was constantly impressed by her positive and calming attitude, grounding presence, creative vision and her ability to manage complex and emotionally charged situations. She was patient and understanding when we had last-minute changes and always snapped into action when we needed her to. I would definitely recommend LJ as a wedding planner/day-of coordinator! We couldn't have done it without her!

We got a early access to the hall at 4 pm on the Friday prior to decorate and help set up tables. Then there's a back kitchen with a couple stoves and ample space for a bar area. The hall has a stage and plenty of parking for guests. Although parking was not an issue there is a park across Little Corralitos Way for public parking. All in all, great experience, and not a ton of drama with the parking situation. Would recommend the hall for family get togethers and moderately sized events. One thing to keep in mind is cell service may be hit or miss and getting to the hall can be challenging for first time visitors. They can always stop at Corralitos Market and ask for directions.

The worst part is that the flow of traffic was not impeded, people were able to pass through normally etc. It's just neighbors like this Yosemite Sam asshole who believe Corralitos belongs to them and they're going to police people, these generational types living in grandma's house.
