The focus was on Jesus Christ, who said "If I be lifted up, I will draw all men to Myself." That is the verse I would use to describe the atmosphere. You couldn't be there and not since God's presence. The music was bathed in God's Spirit, the lyrics were Scripture and singing those words of truth gave a constant affirmation of Christ among us. It was powerfully unifying to speak and sing these scriptures with my church family. We had one voice harmonizing His word. Trent Smith led the worship and he did something that he couldn't have done apart from God's Spirit. He quieted his natural charisma and his voice was one with ours. There was no showmanship in him. After crying buckets of tears, and being certain that I was going to be lifted up to heaven at any second, it was time for the message. Mark Spurlock spoke from Lamentations. The verses told of people who were overwhelmed, dismayed and heavy hearted. They were full of regret, sorrow, and a sense of loss. Not only that , God burned in anger over their ways. Bad times. Just as Mr. Spurlock was captivating us with his vivid description of these poor souls, he stopped and said he wanted to read a bedtime story to us: The Moon is Always Round It was charming, whimsical, and it gave me assurance that God is always here. There is no variation or shifting shadow with Him. Even if it is so very dark, He is nonetheless here. After our bedtime story, Mark went back to Lamentations and we find the people even in the midst of their affliction, remembering that God's faithfulness is great. Cue Trent Smith on keyboard and Rebecca Jackson on violin performing with heartbreaking beauty, brilliance, and God-given skill that wonderful old hymn, Great is Thy Faithfulness. It was profoundly moving -words can't express. The Holy Spirit was free and active that night and I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

I absolutely loved the worship experience and Pastor Todd's Easter message was awesome and very inspiring. I like that he taught sound Biblical Principals but also added in real life struggles that we as followers deal with. He didn't sugar coat it and it was relevant and left you thinking long after the sermon. My family and I can't wait to attend another service here!

Upon arriving, we were greeted by several people and introduced to several more. When the service began, we felt the music was worshipful and enthusiastic. The sermon included relevant key verses as well as multi-media aspects. The service was a good length and finished with a cheerful send-off. While moving toward the door we were, again, greeted by many of the members. The pastor even invited us to chat, have coffee or lunch (in the coming week) if we had any questions about the church. As a gay couple it was very difficult finding a clergy person to marry us and Pastor Anthony was so kind about it. He married us in San Juan Bautista and did a good job. We were also able to rent the church property for our rehearsal dinner the night prior which worked wonderfully for what we needed it for. The weather was beautiful and the church grounds were able to fit about 50 guests outside comfortably. We loved it and our guests loved it too. There were so many beautiful views and the church staff was so kind and generous to us. We did minimal decor because the church and views speak for themselves. We would highly recommend this church for an intimate wedding or rehearsal dinner. Disclaimer: This venue does not allow alcohol on the premises so we did a sparkling apple cider toast.

We need this kind of cooperation and worldinesz now more than ever in this nationalist-leaning country. I go to this fellowship. It's a beautiful place inside and out. We talk about religions, issues and philosophies from all around the world. The speakers, Reverend Russ and music (piano, solo musicians and choir) do a beautiful job bringing Sundays to life. They have a free meditation group on Tuesdays, a preschool and youth program, a book club, and independent religious study groups. As a secular, I would definitely check it out if you're in town or are looking for an open forum for talk and belief. (Also they have an amazing lunch after each service. This ain't your Sunday box of donuts)
