I've been with Prolific for 2 years now and these are my experiences. Cons - The contract seems to have a longer duration than other processors. If you choose to cancel your agreement plan on paying a boat load of cash out of pocket. I have 2 terminals in my business, I would owe $500 per terminal and a $250 cancellation fee and I'm sure there are other items padded into that cancellation as well. Pros - These guys have the best service and lowest processing rates around. The statements are well laid out and transparent. I've been approached by other merchant services providers who HAVE offered me a lower rate, at this time I showed the rate to my sales rep and he beat it that day. My rates are so low right now that when I show my statement to other competitors such as Chase Paymentech or First Data (Bank of America) they leave me alone. My sales rep is fantastic, keep in mind that these guys work independently and sell Prolific products so the rep experience may vary. Don't assume all of the reps are terrible people, mine actually keeps up with me and shows me how I can cut additional costs (Send me a message and I'll send my reps info to you). Summary - When it comes to processing rates, fees and transparency these guys appear to actually have the best value. The only thing I would be concerned with is if your company is brand new as if the business isn't strong enough to make it you may be looking at some hefty cancellation costs.
