We ended up at Revolution because i work at Purdue and they said they were fine with doing piercings for teenagers. It's a small shop, so we had to wait a bit while Pirate, the piercer, worked on a couple of college girls who wanted piercings. by the way, ladies -- you tip your piercer. It's customary. If they do a good job, $10 per piercing is normal, unless you're getting a complex piercing. Don't be rude. Anyway, so once the flock of co-eds was gone, we had our turn. I had a look at the autoclave and generally reviewed their sanitation steps. I'm not in the business, but I know enough to at least make sure that I'm safe. I sat down on the exam table, he prepped me, and marked the spot on my nose. It's probably worth getting a handheld mirror so we can examine ourselves without getting up for the floor-length mirror (I don't mind, but it probably will make the process more efficient). I had my other nostril pierced a few years ago and retired that piercing, so I would say this time was a little bit more painful than the previous, but that may be me getting older or my nostril tissue getting thicker (is that a Thing?), rather than any reflection on the piercer's skill. The kid hopped up and was done pretty quickly. We ended up going with two labret studs rather than a CBR. The experience was quick, and he didn't push the cleaning products on us, which I appreciate. Neither of us has had any problems with the piercings we got. I don't remember how much the cost was, but I think we paid around $150 after tip for the 3 piercings. I definitely tipped a bit more than usual, simply because I realize that piercing a 14 year old probably requires additional stress.

Pete informed me that it was his policy that he will not honor this gift certificate-nor would he honor ANYONES' gift certificate, regardless of the amount, once a year from the purchase date has passed. He further informed my wife and I that this happens frequently and that "he cannot make an exception for anyone otherwise everyone would want an exception." After learning that state and federal consumer protection laws require a business to honor gift certificates for five years from the date of purchase of said certificate, I, out of respect for him, went back for a second visit and asked him if he would honor the gift certificate given the consumer protection laws. Pete responded by telling me I was threatening him and also told me I was being recorded on video. I was completely calm throughout the interaction, and also made a recording. He then told me that "he didn't have time for this" and asked me to leave the premises. He also stated I should never return. I would never purchase a gift certificate from this business nor this individual. His work appears to be great. It's unfortunate we could not come to some agreement, as I tried multiple times. He informed me that if I don't like his policy, I should sue him. Unfortunately his policy does not supersede state or federal law. During this interaction, Pete also moved into my personal space. I let him know that I had recorded the interaction as well. His physical presence made me uncomfortable as I was ordered off the premises for requesting the redemption of a gift certificate. The video and audio recording serves as verification of his words and actions as well as my calm approach despite him claiming I had threatened him. DO NOT BUY GIFT CERTIFICATES FROM THIS PLACE EVER!!! Did I mention he also said they are non-transferable to any other person? The business only accepts cash as well, and after 1 year, you can wipe yourself with for life's gifts certificates, so give cash instead!

When I called I got Kent in the phone, I explained to him my situation and he told me he could squeeze me in for the day if I could get there. From the minute I showed up Kent was attentive worked with me to make sure what I wanted was perfect and had some sick ideas. This may seem normal to some people, but he was filling in a state 1 inch by 1 inch, and this dude was focused on this as if it was a brand new masterpiece (that's above and beyond in my book). Guy worked on this and absolutely made it a sick addition to my states, guy was full of great stories and just a funny dude. I couldn't recommend this shop or Kent more. Anyway when you walk in it's a real professional place , clean with helpful staff and a comfortable waiting area . Then I met brook she's a doll. Obviously I've had my nose pierced before and it was fine but Brook is very well informed and shares that information. Her sterilization procedures are very through . VERY. She was training so obviously she's well credentialed . I bleed like a stick pig , lol@me, but she handled it well and I didn't have a bit of swelling or ooze or anything . In a half hour it felt like an old piercing no pain no anything . If I want a hole anywhere else on my body I wouldn't go to anyone else .
