On that note, there are no walk-ins; you have to leave a deposit of $500MXP (less than $50USD) to guarantee your appointment. I got my tattoo done here by Justin Martinez who does phenomenal line work both of his design or in my case of something I came ready with to be tattooed. Be prepared to wait a bit as they are a busy place and might run late but honestly this is something you don't want to rush through anyway. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Well, I can't give 0 stars…read more I contacted this place via FB messenger on a Sunday to get a souvenir tattoo while visiting CDMX. Understandably, they were closed. They messaged me the next day with instructions for a quote. I wanted two tiny words on my finger and they basically tried to rob me. They quoted $2200 pesos! I have several tattoos, some very large, from across Mexico and was horrified they would take advantage of a foreigner this way. Luckily during a walk around Roma Norte, I found a very highly rated studio who quoted me $600 pesos and did a lovely job. Again it was a 30 minute piece. I felt I needed to review this place because energy is so important when getting a tattoo. Dayaks has been sending me nasty messages since I told them they were wrong to try to take advantage of me. They called me "sweetheart" and said the other artist must be dirty and poor quality. I asked them to stop contacting me twice. I rarely do reviews, but I needed to take the time to do this. I have never known a business to behave so terribly. Very unprofessional. However, there are lovely tattoo shops all over Roma Norte if you just stroll. Good luck!

On my second visit, the artist, Rene, I had worked with the previous year was no longer there. From the start, I didn't get that friendly welcome I got the first time; I was seen more as a bag of money in my eyes. I got a sence that they knew who I was and I got upselled from the start. The day before, I confirmed our tattoo appointment. It wasn't till the day they mentioned that my tattoo artist was running late and was a free style artist, so I couldn't see the design in advance. My two friends had a lovely professional experience that had predesigned stencils and communications with their artists. Unfortunately for me, the artist i got was an hour and a half late, didn't shave my arm, didn't provide a stencil, and didn't research the reference photos I provided a month earlier. They are freestyle artist that I assumed saw the reference photos I provided, but when they got there, they asked what flower i wanted. The tattoo assistant mentioned that he sent her the photos, and she scrambled to find them. They didn't tattoo the morning glory flowers well at all, and I cried a lot. The tattoo was too big and didn't match the width of my arms. It seems like the tattoo artist isnt experienced in porpotioning tattoos according to placement. They were nice enough to try to fix it up in the moment, but it still wasn't what I wanted. The initial finished design was not the fine line that I inquired about initially and its not a balanced design, i didnt realize it until it was too late, and now im gonna have to pay to laser it off. It's not a bad tattoo but not the one I wanted for my birthday trip and not the one i want to keep for the rest of my life. This is the first time in my life i heavily regretted a tattoo, and it was my 5th one. Im at least happy that my friends were able to have a better tattoo experience than I did.
