We were a large party of 5 getting tattoos and hoping to get them all on the same day. The shop was very accommodating and able to get us all in on the same day! We travelled from our vacation in Puerto Vallarta to Mexico City specifically for this shop and we are all so happy we did! Each of us are so in love with our tattoos. Also, everyone in the shop was very professional and listened to each detail we had about our specific tattoos. Upon seeing each others we started talking about getting others from these artists. Absolutely fabulous tattoo parlor.... As a long time Venice Beach dwelling Angelino I know a thing or two about tattoos--and this place is the mother fucking bomb. I sketched out a rough idea for a tattoo and the amazing Fids worked his magic and turned it into a unique and beautiful ink creation. He's a really great artist and has mad good skills when it comes to wielding an ink gun. It took several hours and was at the top of my spine--the back of my neck... So a pretty painful area--but I have to say it was less painful an experience than any of the other areas I've had tattooed.... And, I've had a few.... Added bonus--Fids speaks really good English--he lived in San Fran amongst other North of the border places.... And, oh, did I mention that he's also smokin' fucking hot? Yeah, yeah, I know.... Super shallow.... But c'mon now.....it can only make the whole experience more pleasurable at the end of the day, right, ladies?!!!! Evolution is also super reasonable price wise, impeccably clean and very safe, with a cool, chill, laid back vibe. You want to get tattooed in DF? Go to Evolution and ask for Fids.... I had been planning to get a tattoo while visiting México City for several weeks prior to my trip. After messaging Evolution about my desired design, cost and artist, I was told to come by on Monday at any time and that Hector would be there. I even confirmed this 3 or 4 days beforehand. When I got to the shop that Monday however, I was told that Hector would not be in that day and that no other artists were available for the rest of the day. They told me to come back the following day, but I was already going to be flying back home by then. Fortunately, I found Dayaks a few blocks away in Condesa that did a fantastic job with my tattoo and I couldn't be happier with them. I am however, very aggravated by the unprofessionalism displayed by Evolution who didn't even have the courtesy to apologize for inconveniencing me and misleading me. In this author's opinion, reliability and professionalism go hand-in-hand with work quality and integrity. The lack of the former displayed by Evolution leads me to doubt the latter.
