My boyfriend is a truck driver and in October while we were sleeping this towing company parked in front of us demanding $3,000-$3,500, it's around 3 in the morning during this time so he had to get in contact with his team to pay it off, because my boyfriend wasn't moving fast enough to pay the $3,000 they hooked up to his truck and took us to their yard saying we need to pay $6,000 to get it out. Oh, I forgot to mention, these people move in packs, my boyfriend had to call the cops cause he thought we were getting robbed. The next morning at 8am sharp my boyfriend called, and called, and called, ready to pay the money so he can get back to work, they dodged him for 4 hours, I finally decided to call through my number and they picked up the first time. They finally arrived an hour later to receive the payment and that took almost 2 hours because they claimed to have lost the card machine. I have never seen scamming like this and am so excited for the laws to get in place because what they're doing to hard working truckers out here who work hard to take care of their families and this country is heinous and greedy and I genuinely hope they stick that greed where the sun don't shine. While waiting, a tow truck from Ingrams Towing (MC# REMOVED)hooked up our truck.The towing company employee demanded $3,000 cash immediately or said they would tow the truck to their yard, where the charge would increase to $4,500. Our driver wanted to confirm the legality of this towing and such high charges, so he called 911.
