Haha) and it was once again a lovely experience. We had a voucher for 2 free tickets and 2 free popcorns and drinks. I purchased the tickets online and paid $10 extra for the premier seats. We saw the 9:45pm show and the theatre was pretty dead. The staff working the concessions were friendly and fast. The premier seats are next level. This is luxuryyyyy. We really enjoyed the electric reclining chairs and the side tables are so convenient for your popcorn! I don't wanna sit in a basic seat again lol. The whole thing was once again a pleasant experience. They really ain't got nothing on Cineplex. Oh, but Landmark could probably renovate their washrooms cuz they STILL have those faucets that you press and have to rush to finish washing your hands lol.

Wouldn't normally review a place like a movie theater but this one I felt deserved it. How clean!…read moreHow comfy! Same price you pay at other theatres, but the chairs are large, comfy, and recline as well. And the theatre itself is kept quite clean, which for me goes a long way. Since I like my shoes. And often times fine myself with one less shoe when walking out from the sticky floors where my shoe stays stuck to the floor and my foot continues moving.

I would highly recommend stopping by if you are doing a road trip in Southwestern Ontario, whether for Stratford, KW region, or Elora/Fergus. You can't help but admire the engineering and beauty of the structure. It's an excellent photo spot but you should be aware of the cars coming in and out. It is kind of wobbly as you drive through the bridge across the Grand River. Please park your vehicle at Letson Park (free), which is only 1 minute walk from the bridge. I met a beautiful and friendly tabby cat, "Sandy" that most likely lives nearby. Please be careful when you drive and say hi to her when you visit!

Yes...I'm reviewing a bridge but hear me out. This was one of the stops on a road trip I took to…read moreSt. Jacobs in the fall before lockdown. I honestly didn't have high hopes for a covered bridge. But I'm also a sucker for history and this bridge didn't disappoint. It's tucked away on a private residential street, so it feels like you are uncovering a small town secret. It's a busy spot, so if you're looking to take some photos for the gram, you'll have to snap them quick! There were many people in the area and walking through the bridge as well as cars coming and going. It's also known as the Kissing Bridge but I don't want to spoil more of the stats and history for you. If you are in the Waterloo region, perhaps visiting the St. Jacobs Farmers Market, I would encourage you to stop here and enjoy this little piece of history. Parking: You can park on the side you initially drive up to (very limited spots) and walk through the bridge, or you can drive through and park on the opposite side where there is a larger parking lot.

Flowerpot Island is a ferry ride away from Tobermory. Upon docking at Beachy Cove, there's a map of…read morethe island, the hiking trails available, and what the highlights of the island are. We took the Loop Trail more or less along the shoreline to see the small and large flowerpots. This is the Easy Trail. There are picnic tables along the trail. The next stop was up a few flights of stairs to see the cave. Then onwards to the light station and lightkeeper's cottages. Unfortunately, we went during shoulder season (not during summer), and the cottages were closed for the season. There are many Muskoka chairs there to sit on and take in the beautiful scenery. Instead of backtracking along the same trail, we decided to continue the Loop Trail through the interior portion of the island. This is considered the Difficult Trail. It's described as rugged on the Parks Canada website (https://parks.canada.ca/amnc-nmca/on/fathomfive/activ/flowerpot) and there were definitely lots of huge rocks directly in the trail path and steeper sections with lots of stairs. Just before getting back to Beachy Cove, there's a Moderate Trail (Marl Trail). There are six campsites available on the island, and they have tent platforms. The campsites are spaced decently apart, so there is privacy from one another.

Takes a bit of planning ahead to catch a ferry ride here, but once you arrive, exploring this…read moreisland is pretty self-explanatory. Most people take the Loop Trail hugging the coastline to and from the Lightstation. If you walk with purpose, you'll be able to go out and back within an hour. There's also plenty of places along the coast to rest and admire the rock pillars and the water.

Yaaay! I have officially visited the only two covered bridges in Ontario, Canada…read more Built in June 1992 as a foot/bicycle path along the river, it is also part of a12.5-mile network of six trails which includes the Royal Recreational Trail. The bridge is 144 ft long and crosses over the Speed River from the Guelph Lawn Bowling Club parking area into York Road Park. 400 volunteers help build this bridge making it the second covered bridge in the province of Ontario. There are miles and miles of greenways and trails here making Guelph a true walker/runner/bikers dream. During my visit the students from nearby University of Guelph seemed to be put the trails to great use. Ithiel Town (born in Connecticut) patented his Town Lattice truss design in 1820 and to this day it is still considered one of the most durable and longest lasting of all covered bridge truss systems. Not to mention the lattice design allows the bridge to have more natural light than any other truss design. FINAL THOUGHTS As a person who loves covered bridges, I was happy to see several new bridges using this proven truss design on my long road trip from Atlanta to Canada. If you happen to be in the area, or have never seen a covered bridge in person, let me assure you this design was quite popular in the 1800's and many of those old bridges are still standing throughout the United States. Great backdrop for special occasion photography. Enjoy!
