It turns out the Starbucks was closed already, but I was able to ring the cups up at the regular register. The store was very clean and all of the staff there smiled and were friendly. Elena came over to me at the self check out and asked if I had a savings card or if I was interested in one. She said it may save me money and was worth a shot. I didn't save any when she swiped the card, but I greatly appreciate her attempt to give me some savings.

Its the cutest little country grocery store... don't come here looking for anything nonfat... or any tofu wraps... they ain't got it!!!! I loved the names of all the no-name bargain items... And talk about cheap... I could buy a couple of months of food with what I spend in one week at Safeway... Place is old and as clean as can be expected.... Small town hospitable goodness, consistently THE BEST produce, and the rotating treasures in the middle aisle are always worth deal-hunting. Listen, I come here because I save a lot of money shopping at Aldi. But I *enjoy* coming here for all of the reasons in this review. I'm still not sure that I understand the history between ALDI and Trader Joe's, but it's an interesting internet rabbit hole in which to jump if you're up for it. This location doesn't have self checkout, but that's never been an issue for me since there's rarely a line at the register and they are so fast. I prefer the produce here, find deals on seafood frequently, and once I learn their packaging and nomenclature, enjoy finding more affordable options on staple items.

The employees are respectful and couretous, however, my unfortunate experience was with a manager. To shorten this, I'll list the things that I felt was disrespectful to me, as it involved being told "false" information from a manager: 1. Sell by date: I was told by the manager on duty that the store could not honor an exchange because the item was brought in AFTER the "sale by" date (it was only 4 days after the sale by date). I've NEVE heard of this before. 2. I was asked to provide my name and phone number, even though I had my receipt with the item. I could see if I didn't have a receipt, but I did. 3. The manager said to me, "In the eight years that I've been working here, I've never had this to happen to me". I asked the manager to explain her statement. Short of the long, there are some things that should never be said, especially when it's from a person in management, and I felt TOTALLY disrespected AND offended, on MANY levels! I made a call to their corporate office (Bargain Barn), spoke with a representative there, and one thing that I seriously took offense to was to t old that the manager "mispoke" about the "sale by" date on returns and/or exchanges. Mispoke? Not, she LIED! This experience will not keep me from shopping there, however, I have ZERO respect for the manger in which I had the experience with! DO BETTER!
