She's an experienced nurse and doesn't hesitate to share the good and bad side to mold us in this career. I have gained so much knowledge within this short period of time. I'll definitely recommend the school and all. Thank you Ms Candice

Their holistic approach equips you with the know how as well enabling you with the professional compasion to provide exemplary patient care. Their program gave me the credentials needed to land a great job at a physical rehabilitation hospital even though I lacked clinical experience. The program also gave me a complete foundation to build toward an RN-BSN. I would highly recommend the program at Career Training Center of Chicago. It's afforadble - with flexible payment options. It's a concise, concentrated program that will get you quickly into the medical field. It's in depth, high quality, and comprehensive which will put you a cut above other CNAs. And it provides a great foundation to build from if you wish to pursue nursing or other allied health fields. They easily earn 5 stars.

DISCLAIMER- LENGTHY REVIEW LOL:…read more I just recently graduated from the Medical Assisting program and it is bittersweet! I am super excited for my future but also super sad to be finished with school. The program was about 4.5 months and time went by so surprisingly quick but I have gained so much knowledge in that short period of time. From the beginning, I researched pretty extensively for esthetics schools around the area and came across ISBA. It seemed to be extremely detailed in what it had to offer so I scheduled an in-person interview with Dr. Doran. I brought my husband along with my two year old toddler and she was so welcoming and passionate in what she had to explain to me. I'm already a licensed cosmetologist so she took the time to ask me herself what my future endeavors are such as my goals, career, what I planned on getting out of the esthetics program. (I told her I enjoy doing hair, but skincare interests me and I might want to work in a medspa, etc later on) Instead of pushing me forward and just letting me apply/enroll in the program, she explained why it wouldn't benefit me as much considering that I was already licensed in cosmetology and if I still planned on staying in the hair industry. It would basically be like getting licensed for something I'm already qualified to do. She then explained about their MA program if medspa is what I'm leaning towards because being a certified MA would improve my current qualifications/resume whereas just being another licensed esthetician would be the same as I am now if that makes sense. The fact that she took the time to talk me out of their more expensive program and into another program to benefit me personally was enough for me to already want to enroll. It shows how much she cares for people individually and cares for everyone's success/future. Also, the fact that their class sizes are so small (my class only had 7 people) shows that she takes pride in who enrolls because she talks to them and makes sure the program is the correct fit for both the student and her. I truly appreciate and respect that. As for the MA program teacher, Ms. Helen; she is amazing. She is honest, fun & funny, caring and most importantly, patient. She teaches in the perfect pace where it isn't too slow nor too fast. If someone is having difficulty grasping a lesson/concept, she takes the time to pause and makes sure that student understands before moving forward without making it seem degrading or embarrassing. Our class asks ALOT of questions, most of the time confusing questions lol, and she makes sure she answers all of them til we understand and goes into depth with it. If she is unsure herself, she takes the time to research until there is a solid/clear answer. She provided us with her own handwritten flash cards & study games to help us prepare for our NHA exam. I had a little bit of prior education in the medical field from being in the military.. but there were a lot of topics where I was unable to retain the information after all these years. But going over those same topics with Ms. Helen, I am able to remember them and retain them easily because she teaches in a way where you're not just remembering terms/concepts, you're actually understanding why/what/etc. I am super appreciative of her and I'm so proud and glad I was apart of this program. I have a few friends/family who were apart of other MA programs that were a year long and after speaking with them, they didn't learn or go over a lot of the same material we had gone over nor had the same great learning experience. So I'm definitely pleased that I chose to go with this school because it was so worth it! Thank you ISBA!

I SHOULD'VE DONE DUE DILIGENCE BEFORE ENROLLING. GRADUATION RATE IS ONLY 12%. THAT TELLS YOU…read moreEVERYTHING. Where to begin. I was a student at Americare from 2024-2026. I am also not bashing them - I'm using my real name on this review because it's facts, nothing to hide. They go through a constant change of teachers, or their current teacher takes on a different position in the company. - Unstructured: neither your counselor nor anybody else knows what's going on for future class schedules, etc. -The biggest joke: you have a teacher that meets with students outside of America's hours- to have a study group on Sunday mornings. Yeah a study group. That's unprofessional, especially since the teacher holds a higher nursing degree and apparently doesn't know better. -Same teacher, refused to teach me over an incident that occurred- that had no doing of my own. I had my daughter willing to talk to whoever to explain & about 4 officers from a police dept. to back what had occurred and also willing to speak to the school. No one wanted to hear it. Just that this teacher didnt want to teach me. * I emailed the counslour, my previous teacher Michelle & Stephanie. ALL WITH NO RESPONSE BECAUSE THEY KNEW IT WAS BULLSHIT. I HAVE PROOF OF ALL THE TEXT MESSAGES, EMAILS AND ECT. * -So because of that - I only had a choice but to do night classes. And what kind of adult, licensed teacher, who also has a professional liscense, I beleive as an NP doesnt want to teach a student. Then why are you at Americare to teach. -Let's keep going - there medical bag that they charge you $375 for - none of it works and I beleive they purchased from Temu. That bad. - I went and did all my pre reqs there - incredible teacher! He is no longer there. GO FIGURE. -Then started the nursing program did Fumdamentals of Nursing then went into MEDSURG1 lecture MY FAULT DIDNT STUDY & I FAILED. So obviously I had to retake that course just the lecture part and then passed with an a 100%So all in all I did Fundamentals of Nursing lecture lab and clinicals I did MedSurg1 lecture and lab I did pharmacology1 Lecture- THEN CLINICALS. Then I had to take an ATI test. -Failed that. Well maybe it was because I had 4 or 5 different teachers and every teacher teaching or not teaching was something different - no standard across the board teaching material. Teachers do what they want. - The school offered no tutoring or anything and says you have 4 days to re take the ATI, and if you dont pass that one - back to Fundamentals of Nursing. I didnt know 1/4 of what was in that ATI of course NOT with all the different teachers I had. - One teacher, we did lab with, did our clinicals, came back and that teacher was gone. So of course with no help not knowing what to study no tutoring no nothing I re took and I failed it again. IMAGINE THAT. - Ok so Back to the beggining. I still cant take the day class still because a teacher doesnt want to teach me - so still stuck in night classes. But wait, theres a twist.... when I signed up for this school I signed up because it was hybrid meaning you do everything at home except for your midterms your finals your test out of labs and obviously your clinicals. Plot twist another new night teacher doesnt like the online teaching. So now id have to go in 2 or 3 times a week. Thats when I said thats it, Im done ! Almost 2 years wasted in time, money & everything else and nothing to show for it. -This school only cares about money, only wants to see you fail and is the most unstructured school ive ever been to- or ever heard of. I know there isnt much more options in Illinois for LPN programs. GRADUATION RATE IS ONLY 12% CONTINUED IN BELOW PIC BECAUSE ONLY ALLOWED SO MANY CHARACTERS

Lack of communication was apparent, which was frustrating to say the least. Whenever an issue was…read moreraised by a student, it was often mishandled and ignored. Hidden fees were NOT disclosed upfront and when asked to have an itemized bill, the school could not come up with one. This institution is more interested in accruing revenue than helping their students to succeed. I would caution anyone reading this to read all of the reviews on here before thinking of enrolling at this school as these hidden fees may cause you to be financially strained in the end. If you look at the pass rate of this school for NCLEX-PN, it is BELOW the average passing rate in the state of Illinois and WAY BELOW the national average. No wonder this school is ON PROBATION. See the links at the end of my review. If I were you, I would spend my hard earned money on an institution that has a great reputation and an above average NCLEX pass rate. In my experience, it is best to apply to nursing schools with at least a 95% pass rate; the higher the percentage, the better. SOURCES: 1. I worked for Motorola as a Sr Quality Engineer for 17 years & recently moved on. In the…read moreQuality field, I wore many hats as I played many roles which included statistical analysis, writing training materials & technical manuals, process improvement, coordinating global teams & presenting to all levels of management. I already had multiple years of experience with front end tools to perform & communicate these functions. As I researched current positions related to my field, I saw a new trend emerging within the leading edge corporations who were seeking skilled technical help with a communications portfolio in Adobe Creative Suite tools, especially Photoshop, Dreamweaver & In Design. I researched all local schools who offered Adobe Web Design / Graphic Arts classes to choose an education program best suited for my next career step. I quickly eliminated the local Jr Colleges as the necessary Web Development enhancement to my career path, because their curriculum to achieve this goal took two to two & one half years along with the distraction of many other unnecessary classes. This is my 3rd time through school to upgrade my skill set. Meanwhile, I analyzed that Computer Training Source (CTS) would provide a comparable computer training education in one year. I am now in my ninth month at CTS and I am not disappointed with my choice. As an adult student, who knew virtually nothing concerning Adobe Creative Suite, Web Design & Electronic Graphic Arts & who is graphically challenged, I wake up excited to attend CTS classes and then in my commute home, I am amazed how much I learned in class that day as I know it will advance me to my career purpose and goal. I love CTS's accelerated Web Design education strategy as I am taking multiple classes in parallel to each other. This offers me the advantage of seeing & understanding how all the Creative Suite Tools work & fit together. I prefer this approach to the Jr College computer training path which moves the student sequentially through the CS tools semester after semester. In addition, CTS offers free retakes on all their classes which reinforces & solidifies the CS tools & techniques & concepts in my memory. Besides, the 2nd time around, I have a better instinct of what questions to ask to fill in the gaps in my thinking. The CTS instructors are passionate, dedicated and knowledgeable; who have many years of experience working in their specific fields of expertise. The teachers help fuel my interest to grow in my motivation to understand and build professional websites. When I need special attention, the staff are cooperative & flexible to work with me as they assist me to move forward in my career education path. I am absolutely satisfied that I chose CTS above all other Computer Training education options available to me. I hope to see you sitting beside me in a CTS class in the near future.
