I've been passing this museum for years and never stopped to see what's inside. Today we made a trip to check it out and I'm so glad I did. It was a great family experince. Our whole family enjoyed the Tram ride. It was narrated with lots of information about the nature and history of the area and of NASA. It captured the attention of adults and kids. There are several interactive exhibits within the center that are enjoyable as well. Weather kept us off the nature boardwalk and crowds prevented us from taking the bus tour is Stennis. We will be back to try out those areas of the center. This Center is a great family activity that is less expensive than a lot of other things you can do. It is well worth a drive to the Mississippi state line. read more

Such a unique experience! You could literally spend hours here! Staff was helpful and friendly! You will want to come multiple times!

What a great place to explore! Being NASA geeks, how could we not stop here. Admission also gets you a bus tour of Stennis Space Center. We also opted for the $3 up charge to see one of the 3D movies. As we left, we found out that many of the displays had just opened in the past week - but you would have never known it. The center isn't huge, but has great, interactive displays on watersheds, environmental issues, as well as space travel. The ocean exploration simulation was also cool - allowing viewers to pilot their own ROV vehicles to explore the bottom. Looking for a good stop on your road trip, or an afternoon of fun, spend 2-3 hours here and enjoy the discovery! Enjoy the Ride! Baker & Biker read more

Really cool science museum! Great place to stop right off I-10. All the staff were awesome, helpful, accommodating and knowledgeable! Gina was a great help in the gift shop! read more

PROS--Excellent choice for a family activity. Fantastic tours of the entire space center and test sites. A few good exhibits and fun activities for kids. Nice gift shop. Cafe french fries were good. Very friendly staff. Highly recommended. CONS--Needs more exhibits. Parking lot is most rocks. read more

Infinity Science Center - Test Platform - Museums Near Me - Pearlington, Mississippi

Really fun lot of great interactive spots.

This facility seemed to be an afterthought in order to make money from a boring ol' NASA facility on the edge of Mississippi. Thankfully, admission prices aren't ridiculous, and the bus is included. The bus tour of the engine test facility nearly bored my kids (8 and 11) to tears, and the tour guide constantly mixed up her left and right, so we were often looking out the wrong side of the bus. She would correct herself, breaking the rhythm of her script, and it just got plain annoying. (The sound of the bus nearly drowned her volume out anyway, so I didn't catch about half of what she was saying.) The actual museum was just so-so. The whole place needs an update. It was a Saturday afternoon and nearly empty, and the concession area was closed. I was disappointed that the carnivorous plants area was inaccessible, so I had to try to read the info plaques through plexiglass. The one exhibit I did enjoy was the hurricane information area: how they are formed, an interactive on trying to create a superstorm, and facts about how searches are conducted in the aftermath, using Hurricane Katrina as a model. A large display of NASA mission patches (all of them) skillfully recreated by the Needleworkers Guild was also interesting. The visit wasn't a total loss, but I've definitely seen better museums with more thought put into the layout and activities. read more

Loved this place and would visit again. We found this place during a drive from New Orleans to Pensacola and am happy we hopped off the freeway to see the exhibits. The enormous Saturn V Booster was fun to see, along with other rocket engines outside. We enjoyed the swamp area because alligators are something we don't see locally. I loved the amount of Navy-related information, and the weather related information in museum exhibits. The space shuttle pod walk-through was interesting--something I hadn't seen before. I would like to return for the tour through Stennis. Fun souvenirs, too! read more

I didn't buy a ticket for the museum. I walked around and was able to get pictures with the rocket outside. The value? Great! I will add that inside, it's hard to know what you're getting for the price of an admission ticket. I wish they made that a little clearer. read more

I can't believe I'm actually giving this five stars after reading the reviews on this place I thought I would be disappointed but the place was actually really cool. If you were wondering if you could go during COVID yes you can and they do not force masks but it is recommend. They also have hand sanitizing stations all over. The staff was friendly and there weren't that many people I don't know if that's good or not but it was definitely not crowded. My favorite thing was the underwater simulator thing they had and no you do not have to pay for it. You got to go on an underwater mission and you could a few different sea creatures including a sea turtle my favorite animal. This place was great for people of all ages and a good price for all the cool activities. The only thing I didn't like was that they didn't have the tour busses they provided a walking tour but it was hot and humid and no one wants to walk in that weather. read more

A huge facility, but for the price not worth it. Kids were exciting, but even they realized after a few minutes there wasn't much to do. Most everything somewhat interactive was extra $$ read more

We were unable to join the bus tour. You must have valid state ID or passport to get on the tour. We are non US citizens but we live in the states legally and hold valid state ID's. We paid for the admissions and waited 30 min to sign up for the tour only to find out that all non US citizens regardless of your residency even (if you hold a valid US drivers licence) must show passport. Since we were traveling domestically, we did not bring our passports with us. Wdid not see the museum since we asked for refunds but the museum appeared to be for little kids.....the museum itself is not worth $12 if you are not doing the tour. If you are a group of adults only, save your $12.....or just make sure you bring your passports and IDs. read more

So much fun for a surprise date, the rides inside are extra but if you have $50 to spend for 3 hours of fun for two people and love space science it's amazing!! read more

A great little visitor center and small museum with LOTS of exhibits and a few nice movies as well. Several outdoor displays and Nature Walks also. We spent most of the day there on 3/21/2017. Lots of exhibits and activities for kids. Especially enjoyed the displays with the moon rock and about the International Space Station. Great info and exhibits on several local astronauts, The highlight was a bus tour thru the nearby John C. Stennis Space Center to see the campus and massive rocket engine testing platforms. Who knew that NASA has been developing and testing rocket engines in this remote area of SW Mississippi since the early '60's? Glad I saw on the website that you have to be sure to sign up for the bus tours a half hour before they leave. We had a decent burger for lunch in the cafeteria as well. read more

Groupon is how we found out about this place. My boys ages 9 & 13, along with my husband and I enjoyed the visit. It was pouring down rain the day we went, so it was a little frustrating to not get good pictures of the rocket testing (so I snagged a few from here). Great for kids! read more

Not really a good value for the money. Seriously lacking in volume of things to see. Golf cart ride and movie Should be added on for free to make it a value read more

Displays are nicely done and an entire floor is dedicated to Earth and environmental science. Strikingly absent, however, is explicit reference to global climate change and our role in causing it. This is a missed opportunity in a region that is increasingly suffering the consequences including greater storm intensity, flooding, heat waves and rising sea levels. At least there could be a display along the lines of NASA's Key Indicators of climate change. read more

My family of four (kids are aged 5 and 1) loved this place! The $10 admission price includes a 40 minute bus tour of the actual test sites and some of the 220 square mile facility. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE "SIMULATOR!" It costs $5 but is nothing about a space shuttle or NASA in general. The sim is only a scifi story with bad graphics that does no more than shake the hell out of you and make you very sick. read more

If you want to "Make America Great Again", be choosy about who you read reviews from. I had reservations about visiting here after reading some reviews but as my partner is a Space nut we went anyway. So was it worth it? I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of exhibits, information given, and quality of tours included IN the admission price. Being that it IS a museum your will have to READ--or you could be somewhat presidential and choose to remain ignorant. The good news is that there are plenty of interactive entertainments for those who don't read. And they even display it on various sizes of TV screens including giant size where you can see yourself in different visual spectrums of light wave lengths like how a bee sees you. A cool capsule theater blasts you to the moon and many other interactive scientific exhibits await you which are included in the price of admission. Also included is a walking tour with amplified sound via headset (included) of the rocket engine booster segment outside. A bus tour (general admission included) takes you through restricted areas of Stennis. Both were very informative and cool even for those of us not yet certified as space nerds--but you may be converted. Did you know that Stennis can make its own weather? Take the bus tour to find out where and how. Both tours require a 30 minute pre-time sign up so be sure to do it when you first arrive as to secure a space in a designated time slot. I suggest sitting on the passenger side (right) of the bus for the best views of the most important parts of the tour. A new Virtual Reality exhibit is coming hopefully by summer 2018. An outside nature boardwalk is a great way to see some critters of every kind. I was disappointed that the robotic bowling was only open from 10-Noon. Not sure what is up with that. It's not the Smithsonian but for the area and the price with the quality of exhibits this is a great traveling through vacation or stay-cation spot. We spent 4 hours there and still had more to see. You can leave and come back in the same day with your wrist band. All general science nuts will love it because it not only has space but environmental (including climate and oceanography), robotic, and physics exhibits. Senior/Military rates available and are a $6 Special on Wednesdays. Make America Truly Great Again by educating yourself with real "science stuff"--even though you may have to actually read something (unlike in those other crappy hole countries). read more

I love everything with NASA sticker Modern center with modern exhibits Good food court Good for families Rather boring bus tour compared to Florida nasa yours read more

Extremely overpriced. There is absolutely nothing to look at and or to do there are a few interactive things, and well thats about it. There nothing worth $18 a adult and $11 a child. We've been to science center, museums, etc. Around U.S. With way more activity's and interactive station, for way less. This place was really empty period, and very disappointing.  The bus ride though space center was interesting and made the price somewhat worth it. Prob. Will not recommend, or return. Step it up guys and do more. read more

Fantastic! Except the tours use to be free. Now they make you purchase a ticket for the bus ride which really is not that great. I knew more history of the land the Space Center is built on than the bus driver. They fail to properly inform people of the area itself. This area is rich in history dating back to the Civil War, Pirates and Indian habitation as well. Not something Id ever do again, but maybe good for kids field trips. read more

Not worth the money for admission at all. The exhibits are random and most are a major let down. Web site says to plan to spend around 3 hours here. We struggled to spend an hour and that was just to make it to our 3D movie time. Several of the interactive exhibits didn't work and the few cool things cost extra. It's a large place, but most of it is classrooms, offices, etc. There are very few signs, you just wander. Hardly anyone there, which is a sign of what they have to offer. Very disappointed overall. read more

The experience overall was great!! My boys are 12 and 10 and they had a blast!!! The tram ride is just a ride into the swamp to talk different biomes (don't pay unless you want to just ride in a swamp). The bus ride comes with general admission and it was fun and very informative!!! read more

Pretty boring for the price you pay, 3D ride was 6 bucks and looked like a video game from 2001.

To get up close and personal with the rocket testing facility here is a real amazing deal. The buss ride to the rocket motor testing facility and the tour operators explanations are wonderful. There is so much going on here and it is good to get a bit of insight into what it takes. The size of the test facilities are almost unfathomable. Now back to the Science center. A lot of the layout is for kids and has interactive displays. Lets get all the children here and get them excited about science. I love that. The historical display that was on loan during my trip talked of the history of explorers and why they are so valuable to the long term survival of a civilization. It was wonderfully done and my brain was almost too full after that to fit anything else in. Apparently there are 10 NASA facilities that deal with different parts of the program I was in the Huntsville facility last year and can't wait to find all the others. read more

What can I say...a science center off I10 in Mississippi? I think its awesome and a perfect place for a traveling family to take a break! They also have a cafeteria that serves traditional Louisiana food like gumbo, red beans and rice, etc...Way better than a rest stop. read more

The science center is ramping up the amount of exhibits they have, and it seems like everyone who works there, worked for NASA so they are extremely happy to share their experiences! They have some great gifts in the shop, and I love how anyone can enjoy the F-1 rocket motor outside: my family was just passing thru to Mississippi when we saw the center, and had to pull-in. Definitely a MUST-SEE location! read more

Opens at 9 but big exhibits don't open till 10 and then close again at 11:30 for an hour and a half?! Bus tour every hour has to be signed up first thing in morning or it's full because the bus only holds 20. So the $18 to get in only gets you a few exhibits about plants, hurricanes, Jenga, and yes upstairs is some space. There are 4 big exhibits that are theater or VR type, 2 cost extra. While it's a great idea needs work. Without bus tour and seeing rocket pads it's a small child exhibit. read more

Off interstate 10 at the border of Mississippi / Louisiana border. It's right by a rest stop and wandered over to this center right next door. We only saw the outside exhibits which were giant things like the objects like a tsunami buoy and a giant jet cone for the shuttle. We didn't have time to take the inside tour for $8 bucks - senior, but the quick 15 minute detour to walk around these objects was a nice break from driving! read more

Pros-great activities to kids on all age engaged and having fun. Tour was really impressive with a ton of interesting facts. Staff at the exhibits were so friendly and knowledgeable. Go get hot boiled peanuts at the truck near the entrance.... Awesome!!! Cons- two young girls at front desk were less than friendly. Exhibits really are geared for kids and everyone over 18 must have DL to take tour. read more

Great outing with the family. About 40 minutes outside of NOLA. Remember to bring your ID to take the bus tour.

We went to the Infinity Center kind of as a last minute decision and I'd definitely recommend it! The bus tour of the property and engine test sites was very interesting and our guide (Corey) was both informative and funny. It would be great to be there for an actual engine test, but it seems those aren't announced in advance, so you have to just be lucky enough to be there for one of those. The Science Center area has good exhibits - quite a few are really geared toward kids, so I'd recommend them if you have the time to spend. We really enjoyed the equipment around the outside of the entrance and the upstairs exhibits that were more about actual missions and the future of space technology. We spent about 3 hours total, without kids and including the tour, and it was a good way to spend the afternoon! read more

Great stop especially with kids. Plenty of interactive centers and interesting sights for the adults. Big theater with 3D space films. Bus ride out to the test sight is efficient and cool. Food in the food court is reasonably priced and way better than traditional food court fare. Block out 2-3 hours for this little gem. Wednesday's are senior discount days and kids 3 and under are free. read more
