Try to get the PM/GC/salesman to do some easy warranty work after they were paid in full. Good luck with that. A decorative fake vent at the peak was blown off by the wind twice. First time they put it back up because they were still working on other parts of the project. Second time nothing but lip service. Exchanged some text messages with faux promises and 6 weeks later still not reattached.

From a minimum perspective, they showed up when they said they would, gave us a reasonable bid and did some extra patch work that turned out good. The workmanship though is where I have questions. Some of the paint has chipped off in spots. The hinging of the cabinet doors and installation of the other hardware was a joke. It ended up looking crooked, sloppy and hastily completed. My other point of contention was that I had to totally clean my kitchen afterwards. Lesson Learned: You get what you pay for. They were by far the lowest bid and we paid for the workmanship.

The "handyman" forced us to give him an exact budget number for the repairs our first call with them -- essentially made us make up a dollar amount for something we are not at all experts in. I tried explaining we were just throwing out a number because we were forced to, and the handyman told us they don't want our business. I would've gave them 0 stars if I could.

This is our third house and we've had a lot of different painting crews over the years in different locations, but these guys are hands down the best. I'm generally overly critical when assessing the details of a job done on my house and most of the time feel that while not great, the job done is "good enough". Not so with Troy's crew, Cole and Bob came in set up and got down to it. When everything was all said and done I was blown away by the level of precision and quality of the work done. On top of the great quality they were a pleasure to deal with; easy going, accommodating, and very professional. I'm glad that we were able to find such an excellent crew on our first attempt. If you're looking for someone to handle your painting these are the guys. Seriously, stop looking through yelp reviews and call Troy.

He was not the cheapest (fell into that trap the last time) but also not the most expensive either. Will use them in the future.

Our two biggest complaints were 1) the contractor has refused to turn over any materials purchase receipts so we have record of the purchase for warranty purposes, and 2) We have an issue with one of the steps that has a saw cut in it that needs to be replaced. The contractor will not return text messages or calls. Before I would make a final payment to this contractor, I would make sure everything is totally complete, and you have all the paperwork to support the project. Our mistake was to give him a check late in the day of his final day on site, without having the ability to take a good long look at everything in the light of day. At that time he also promised to deliver the necessary paperwork, and to drop off leftover materials for use to make minor changes ourselves. Do not make a final payment to this person, until everything is complete. Dan Wickett

Certainly better than the builder did. They even did the bottom trim correctly by making the bottom piece shorter and the side pieces longer. Based on what the worker told me, he doesn't know how to do showers correctly.
