It is not cheap but the clothes are of exceptional quality. i would say it is not for every day wear but for something a little more special. The service is fantastic - more personal than you get in any of the high street chain shops. I shopped here for an outfit for a special occasion quite recently and would definitely go back again when looking for something a bit different. The only thing that stops me giving five stars is that they only stocked one of each size of each item. They could get what you want if they didn't have it but if you are looking for something to take away it could be a problem. Lovely shop and helpful staff.

I love something different to wear that I know I won't find everyone else wearing it and I was delighted to find this place. The owner gives a genuine opinion on how the pieces fit and wouldn't sell you something that didn't suit you. My friend was able to sit on the lovely sofa with a cuppa while I tried on half the shop! Much better shopping experience than a chain store. Little gem of a place!

The studio is modern ,comfortable, competitive and very popular with all ages. It is positioned on the historic Maygate,opposite the Abbey house with numerous parking options nearby. Next is one of my favourite high street stores but this shop on the High Street is a poor offering…read more Its too small really to offer much of a selection and in recent months to compensate for this they have tried to cram as many extras in as possible, such as homewares, meaning there's even less in the way of space. The lift is situated right at the back of the store, therefore those with buggies (heading to childrenswear on the first floor) have to weave through the jungle of crammed ladieswear and homeware to reach the lift. Its a bad store design and doesn't allow for much choice to be on display. Having said that, the staff are lovely and do their best to keep the shop running smoothly and in a professional manner.

This is the place to go for trendy fashion, although the prices are a bit high sometimes for what you get. In particular I love the jeans from River Island, they are always modern in style and wash and wear again and again without losing their shape. The staff here are friendly and go out of their way to help you. If you are in the changing room and need a different size they are happy to collect it for you. I've also never had any problem returning an item to River Island if it wasn't suitable. My sister loves the River Island sales and we always pop in when one is on to rummage around for bargains.
