I don't know what is going on, but messing around with people's health and medications and not responding is the reason I left after being here for years. Doctors were nice. Office is not.

I felt like a human being with dignity when dealing with them, as opposed to feeling like I am caught in the cogs of a machine that doesn't care about me as a human being. They actually helped me resolve some obstacles to getting my Rx. She did use her computer, but maintained good eye contact with me, listened to my comments, and stayed engaged with me. For the 1st visit I had an on-site appointment and even though she was talking 10 mph I felt very informed. I left that 1st appointment very satisfied impressed with how much information she wrote tor me. After the appointment I called up my brother, who is also a doctor (a gastroenterologist), and he was even impressed with how detailed and thorough she was in the notes she gave me. After she got my blood test results from Labcorp she immediately followed up with me and told me what I should be doing to control my sugar and what time I should be eating every meal to control my thyroid function in my body. For my 2nd and 3rd appointments I had virtual visitdms and I was impressed with that call as well, even though we had a bad connection. She called me back immediately, apologized for the dropped call, even though it was not her fault, and we continued our conversation. She followed up that call with my labcorp results again, advised me on what I should be doing to correct my sugars even further and told me the prescription she was calling in. She even recommended natural solutions to my problems when I told her I did not like taking more medicine and then she answered all the rest of my questions. For the 3rd appointment, she even called me from her car when she found out that the nurse practitioner that was filling in for her was behind on her calls. Now that is a great doctor. She really cares about her patients and how well you are doing. If you are looking for an endocrinologist I would really recommend you go see Dr. Anbar. The staff should be trained to understand that leaving a sample, if somebody tells them there's some urgency, they may have to listen very carefully to what they have just been told. Unfortunately, I can't say that that has any meaning to the current staff. They seem to think they can't "give out a cup" to somebody who has a "problem" and they need to ask a supervisor to do so. The supervisor wasn't present, so of course they couldn't give the cup out. Decision-making should be at the lowest level and certainly with a smile to the people who make their jobs possible. I vote yes to NGDC, but with a caveat, they need to train customer facing people better.

Felt like the staff was always good at making the clients feel like family and were caring. I grew up in Georgia and went here for years and considered this placed to be my lifeline. Fast forward, I moved to Oregon and started going to a generic practitioner because the local endocrinologist I'm referred to can't do an initial patient check in for 6 months. I then called NAED to get a CGM prescribed to hold me over but apparently it's been too long since I've been seen by them and I'm no longer considered a patient so they wouldn't fill it... felt like the biggest slap to the face. I've had 3 super low lows since moving here because it's harder to monitor my blood sugar and I hope this clinic knows that if I die they are partly responsible. I had a borderline argument with the doctor over the phone because they were getting frustrated that I was consistently asking. I hope you all read this and if any patient has been seen by you for any consecutive period of time and they need a CGM monitor you give it to them. It's a little piece of plastic that sticks on your arm to help survive. It's not like I'm asking for prescription drugs or anything that can be abused. You have record of me in your system with my visits and see I've been prescribed it before and as an endocrinologist, you know I need it and it's apparent you couldn't care less and would rather use it as an incentive to get more in person visits (aka money) which I can't do because again, I'm in Oregon. IM LIVID. Luckily my new patient appointment is finally this month at my new clinic. I wrote this review so that if someone else gets in this same scenario, this clinic does better. I've been scared for my life ever since moving and feel hopeless after stating my case on multiple occasions and being shutdown. This is the only endocrinologist I've ever went through and have no other way to get what I need to survive until accepted by the new facility which has took a total of two years. (I've been seeing non endo clinics since moving here to get insulin for the last 2 years and am just now finally about to see my new endo specialist next week after being on the longest most painful waitlist of my life.

After doing my research and getting some crap over the phone from my first choice, I decided to give Piedmont Endocrinology a try. I called and was greeted by a very friendly receptionist. She advised of a recent cancellation and could squeeze me in the following Friday - perfect! She told me I would be seeing Dr. El-Kebbi. I arrived 30 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment to complete all of the new patient paperwork. After I was done, friendly receptionist called me up to the window to advise me that Dr. El-Kebbi was a few minutes behind schedule, but I was his next patient. She apologized for the delay and I went back to playing Jewel Mania. I'm usually super super anal about being on time. Maybe I'm just jaded now because I'm convinced that no doctor is ever on time, but I at least appreciated the fact that she took the time to tell me that he was running a little late. With previous doctors, most just let you sit there until you realize your appointment was supposed to be 45 minutes ago. So 5 or 10 minutes later, I'm called back. I'm taken to an exam room by a super friendly guy who's name escapes me. He also apologizes for the delay and emphasizes that Dr. El-Kebbi really doesn't like being late. We go over some basic info and he advises that the Doc will be in a moment. Let me first say that my previous doctor was a bit standoffish. Nice enough, just didn't seem overly personable or concerned. I experienced the complete opposite with Dr. El-Kebbi. He was warm and friendly and very interested in my medical care. He provided valuable insights into certain aspects of my medical care that I feel were lacking with my previous doctor. I honestly felt like I was speaking with a friend the whole time. There was one awkward moment when he seemed to fail to understand how I could be so certain that I would not be getting pregnant, but we got through that. It's quite funny in retrospect. The whole appointment went exactly how I feel a doctor's appointment should go. I'm almost (but not quite) willing to overlook the tardiness, but we'll see how that goes in future visits. I highly highly recommend Dr. El-Kebbi to anyone in the market for a new endocrinologist.

I arrived for my appointment on Wednesday. Not the greatest drive from Marietta, but worth it. Dr. Patel is my new favorite endo ever. She's young, up to date on the latest research on Thyroid health, and spent real, quality time with me going over my chart and medical history. I was in and out in about an hour (even as a new patient) - including labs. The lab technicians were friendly, quick and painless as was the check out process. Overall, I'm very pleased!
