Dr. Lear saved my life!!! And that is not an exaggeration! I was at Indiana Hospital this past…read moreweekend. I had admitted myself to the er due to massive vaginal bleeding. Long story short, because of insurance issues, and the fact that my own gynecologist, Dr. Williams (Latrobe Gyne Associates) didn't care to make the effort to take care of me on a Sun despite the fact that I had already been given 2 blood transitions, DR LEAR STEPPED UP AND TOOK CARE OF ME. After not even 30 min of meeting and examining me, he had me in emergency surgery!!! I had a fibroid the size of a golf ball attatched to my uterous and causing me to pass blood clots THE SIZE OF MY HAND! He took out the fibroid and uterus, and I haven't bled since!!! During and after my surgery, he did a fantastic job keeping my boyfriend up to speed-patiently answering questions and completely explaining everything that was going on with me.The next day, early in the morning, Dr Lear was in my room checking up on me, making sure I understood everything that I had gone through. I recommend this highly knowledgeable and skilled Gyne to everyone!!! He will not disappoint! I will be forever thankful to him!

The consultation for my fiance was poor she didn't listen to his needs nor did she seem to care…read more She proceeded to say that she will do anything for him after he explained his symptoms and his job and she said to have the receptionist provide him with work excuses which didn't happen after his colonoscopy she didn't even seem him afterwards proceeded to have a nurse explain oh and both the nurse and the anesthesiologist wanted to know why an upper scope wasn't being done considering where he was having the pain.. what was found and said it was a poor cleansing however her office waited until the day before to call over his prescription really who is at fault for this one? She lied about everything that was said in the room. When he spoke with the receptionist she was ignorant and has no customer service skills even if the patient is wrong or not you still need to provide customer service skills that show you care even if you don't at the end of the day the people in the office don't care about their patients they care only about a paycheck. After a follow-up with his PCP which will now do the cleanup of a botched and quite frankly waste of time and still didn't have an answer as to what is wrong even they said they have multiple people complaining about her office. My advice GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! She doesn't even deserve the one star.

It's pretty scary when pain hits suddenly, seemingly out of nowhere and it doesn't go away no matter what I do. Visits with our PCP ends on an unsatisfactory note. The Dr prescribes physical therapy and medication. It feels like abandonment when our medical professional stops listening when nothing seems to work long term. It got to the point I was resigned to the fact that no treatment existed and I would have to struggle with chronic pain for the rest of my life. Depression hangs over my head like a black cloud for months. A referral and subsequent appointment with Dr Shetty gives me hope and no more hitting brick walls. Dr Shetty is a medical professional that weighs the objective evidence before stating definitively what's going on and what's next. I did not feel he was guessing at what was going on and I did not feel like I was a lab experiment. His calm, relaxed demeanor and methodical approach let me know the good Dr was actually weighing objective evidence. He asked specific questions and conducted a physical examination to find the location and nature of my chronic pain. After reviewing the x-rays, Dr Shetty concluded with an evidence-based determination. There was no rush as I asked my questions. Dr Shetty was respectful and listened to my concerns. He responded with empathy and was pleasant overall. I know the end of this saga will be chronic pain-free. He's exceptional as an orthopedic and pain management specialist.
