4 stars for a solid Par 3 golf course…read more Whenever I'm trying to get in a quick 9 with the family or work on the short game, I head over to Willow Lakes. Located off US 1 near 46 in Mims, this RV resort has a 9 hole golf course that is generally kept in pretty good shape. I arrived with the family recently to play 9. While you can book on GolfNow for a couple bucks less if you prepay, it is easier generally to walk in. The reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is 1) I've had to wait for a while for an attendant on days where nobody else is playing, and 2) $22 for 9 holes with IDP nearby for 9 full holes at $25 means the prices here are a little higher than one would expect. Neither of these issues take away from the friendly service you do get when checking in, fun holes like the 4th hole that goes over water, and greens that are generally in solid shape. Overall, Willow Lakes provides a nice place for beginners, families, and those working on their short game to grab a quick round.

Equally important, Dave, with 40 years of golf, shares his knowledge of the inner game of golf. The mental part of the game. Equally important when you get on the golf course. He gave me a type of peace of mind with my golf game. I now approach playing golf knowing what to do, how to make a shot based on the principles I have learned. I feel I now have a golf game - certainly a beginner (and I am a "senior citizen). Dave is a great guy. Sense of humor, congenial, wise....and a great teacher. He's a thoughtful instructor, informative, and always entertaining in showing you the right way to do things. One of things that really impressed me, is that after work one night, I stopped by to drive some balls. He saw me hacking away on the range and came over to correct me and make sure I fixed the things he had previously taught me. He wasn't 'on the clock' , and didn't have to come over and spend some time to help me, but he did. I would really recommend him to anyone who wants to improve their golf game.

5 stars for a great little driving range with an excellent instructor…read more While I was out in Titusville during the Covid-19 pandemic, I decided to grab my clubs and go hit some golf balls. Rather than jump straight on a course and get frustrated due to being out of practice, I decided to head over to the Singleton driving range a few times each week to get some practice. Located on Singleton Avenue near the Arthur Dunn Airpark where lots of people go for skydiving, this range has your standard driving range set up (only ground level) with flags and buckets of balls you can purchase for pretty good prices. What makes this place stand out for me was the relatively new golf instruction provided by Tracy with FunGolf. My wife noticed that Singleton was offering a deal on a month of lessons and signed me up, and boy was it a great experience. Tracy is a certified LPGA instructor who has a fun little outdoor area setup with tunes going on in the background. She is great at giving you little tips and ideas for your game and will even record videos of your shots to help you see what to fix. Considering the unlimited lessons for a month deal, you can't really beat what she is offering. Overall, the Singleton Driving Range provides a great place to hit some balls. Whether you are looking for instruction or just want to have some fun with a bucket of balls, this is a great place to check out.

I walked into the pro shop and was greeted kindly by someone. They explained their automated ball dispenser. After that I was pretty much left to myself. Even though once I was done with my small basket which was plenty for an afternoon of driving the ball with several clubs, the nice gentlemen came out of the building and shared a conversation with me for about 10 minutes. He explained that the gentlemen who could fit your clubs and answer your questions is only there on the weekdays 9-5. All in all it was a good afternoon. The putting green is a little small with more than two or three people putting there will be a little bit of a jam up. Price is very reasonable. $8 for a small basket or $10 for a large. Definitely worth a few hours to go and check out.

We held a family birthday party and rented a pavilion and it was an amazing experience! The park…read moredid a great job of making sure the pavilion was marked as reserved and guided us to where we needed to be. The pavilion was clean and had plenty of seating. There was beach access, bathrooms, and plenty of parking. We got the pavilion for the whole day and absolutely loved it. There was a playground and basketball court nearby as well. It wasn't too busy and it was the best place for a party. I highly recommend it!
