Came across this restaurant when visiting Jena yesterday and had the lunch special. Food is OK at…read morebest and really nothing to write home about (two stars). The third star is for the friendly and fast service. Stains on the tablecloth don't add to the eating pleasure, however. I feel bad for the people of Jena, who apparently seem to not have too much choice in terms of Indian fare. I tried the paneer kabob and the butter chicken. The paneer was beautifully plates and both dishes were incredibly flavorful and delicious, especially on the fluffy basmati rice. The sweet naan (stuffed with sweet pistachio paste) was amazing as well. The staff are so nice. The interior is nice, they light a candle at your table for you as well :)

We ate outside as it was very nice. The inside was decorated authentically and seemed very cozy. We had seen the restaurant walking by, went to get our car but when we couldn't find parking we were told where we could put the car nearby (parked illegally) in order to keep an eye on it in case someone would come to ticket (or tow) it. My pineapple curry had just the right sweet spiciness, plenty of food. The kids' curry portions were generous and they loved it. Prices were reasonable.
