This is one of the regular courses that I play. I like it because it's relatively inexpensive: greens fees + cart + small bucket for $60. That being said, it's a public muni course, so it's not going to blow your mind. I am giving it 5 stars, however, because it is great value. The course is in very good shape considering how inexpensive it is to play here. My one complaint is that the greens are on the slow side and there are some dead spots, but the course is well-kept altogether. The only thing saving this course from a 1 star review is the staff. The staff was friendly and very helpful, particularly the bartender. This course was in horrible condition, one of the worst I have ever experienced. Almost every green was in very rough shape. Given the price point of this course (almost $80 for a round), the course conditions are absolutely unacceptable. As a cherry on top, the men's bathroom in the clubhouse was out of soap and paper towels. Management really needs to get their act together. Do yourself a favor, save your money and play anywhere else. read more

Don't waste your money. This bunch has a lot of nerve asking 75$ to play there. Greens are pathetic and even worse they don't tell you ahead of time. If they'd be honest, upfront and discount you'd at least know what you're getting into. I won't be back. The staff is the only good part of being there. read more

This is a dog track!! Do not waste your money. Slow as hell and almost every single green is a1/3 sand or dead. This is truly a POS. I don't know how they cannot inform you of the conditions before you play. At best is is worth 25$ GB or 18 holes. Garbage read more

I didn't play the course. The driving range is concrete with a thin piece of indoor outdoor grass over it. They are not mats. And there is no place to put a tee. It's a long chipping area with a concrete surface basically. And it's sloped. lol. Not worth the $5 I paid. I left after half a bucket. read more

Was told that they would only give us our cart 5 minutes before our tee time. When asked why not 10 or 15 minutes, I was told that is their policy. I find that when people don't have a rational articulatable reason, they fall back on policy. read more

Course management was terrible, sending out singles behind groups of 2 and not consolidating. Allowed a teaching Pro to teach on the Course on a Friday afternoon with a single golfer, not paired up and hitting multiple tee shots. Totally disrespectful, Pro Shop did nothing about it. read more

GPS is a joke. Cart shut off at least 15 times in 18 holes while it was on the cart path. More of a pain than a help.

Very unprofessional staff, was literally screamed at by the course ambassador for an issue that could have been easily resolved if it would have been brought to our attention before we started the round. Was also told by some others playing that the people in the pro shop told them they were playing to slow... never heard any other course doing that but this one. It really is a shame this course is having so much trouble. Fairways are in bad shape, so bad they have the entire front 9 cart path only at all times. And to be honest that's probably for the best. A few of the fairways are just downright dirt and/or mud. The pro at the course is extremely nice. I've talked to him a couple times in passing, and even saw him giving out quick tips to people at the driving range just to be friendly. Him and the women at the snack bar are the only reasons this course gets any stars at all from me. They have a couple elderly men who run the pro shop, and they have zero clue what they are doing. Not only that, they seem adamant in talking down to you from the moment you step into the clubhouse for no apparent reason. I've been to a lot of golf courses because it's where I conduct most of my business, and these guys are by far the worst I have come across. Just puts a bad taste in your mouth before you even get to the first tee. Greens are in pretty good shape. Construction isn't as bad anymore. Bad fairways, but looks like they are working on them although it's been a long while. It's in such a great location, and a solid layout. But I avoid this course as much as possible due to the people working in the clubhouse. Just takes the fun right out of it when people conduct themselves in that arrogant and rude manner on a consistent basis. read more

Indian Hills Golf Course - Not exactly a course that is on the right "paht"... - Golf Near Me - Murfreesboro, Tennessee

I will preface this review by saying I used to love to play this course. I made my only hole-in-one here. Unfortunately, it has been mismanaged into the ground. Played on a Saturday and it was packed. This course has an eight minute gap between teetimes on the weekend. That would be fine if everyone played a round of golf in two hours and 24 minutes, but no one I've ever met does that. We were pushing 5 1/2 hours for our round of golf and spent the majority of that time waiting for the log-jammed groups in front of us. The temperature was in the 90s and, as should not come as a surprise if you've played here, the water coolers were empty. A member of my foursome called the front desk to alert them. The employee seem shocked. It would've been a little better had there been a beverage cart, but maybe that's too much to ask for a packed golf course on a Saturday afternoon were the average cost for 18 holes is close to $50. At the turn we were hungry and decided to stop in the clubhouse for a hotdog. There were no hotdogs. Let me repeat, there were no hotdogs in a golf course clubhouse. The kind lady offered to nuke one in the microwave, but I declined. She seemed perturbed that I did not want her microwave hotdog, or her nerves were shot from dealing with unhappy patrons all day. I vehemently hope that a person or group of people that know how to manage a golf course buys this one, which I can't imagine will stay afloat much longer. Update: the general manager called me and we spoke for some time. I do believe he legitimately wants to make IHGC as good as it can be. I've given this track another star because I respect him for doing this. read more

Course has fairly new greens and receive the ball fairly well. Some of the greens there always have the "ick" (maybe 2-4 holes of the 18). Sometimes they shave the greens too short and put too much sand on them (not aerating) which makes them very difficult and maybe not worth playing at times. The course has plenty of difficulty and I would give it a 4 out of 5. Overall the staff is great. read more

Indian Hills is a great course. The course isn't too hard or too easy and it has some great water holes.

The golf course is in terrible shape. I purchased a range token for $3.75 and only recieved 10-12 range balls. I had an emergency come up and could only play 9 holes. Went in and asked for a rain check so I could come back and the back 9 (I originally paid for 18 holes). They said no way. How ridiculous? Indian Hills has run off all of their members. The bunkers are all in terrible shape. Very disappointed with this course. It used to be one of my favorite places to play in Murfreesboro. Poor service, poor course, and poor overall experience. read more
