McDonald's can be that place. This one has a decent sized dining area, with booths, tables and high-tops. Nice touch - some of the tables have glass vases on them with real flowers. Most of the chairs are bolted to the floor, but a few are movable, perhaps so that folks in wheelchairs can have a table too. Free wi-fi worked well and was easy to access. Only three narrow tills ("registers" in American), so if there is a queue ("line") it backs up. The kitchen staff is efficient and capable enough, unlike many McD's I've visited in the States that are clueless clowns. The food is spot-on McDonald's. I've forgotten how much I hate those sweet pickle slices on the cheeseburger, which of course comes with both ketchup and mustard, plus diced onions. I am totally going to be burping this up later. Most of the rest of the menu is the same, but they have a few different options, such as onion rings (sold with a sweet chilli dip?) and a Chicken Legend. And yes, even though they're on metric here, they still sell a Quarter Pounder. Loos ("bathrooms") are clean, as I would expect for McD's. They also have what I think is the only drive-thru I've seen in Reading. It's weird to see the drivers go clockwise, but that's the way they drive over here. :-)

Got a flyer through the mail like we all do now and then, thought I would try the new 19.99 mega…read moremix. Recieved the order after 55 mins, not a awful time but was nearly 15 mins after the app told me the order was delivered. The pizza was bland and contained not much interest, the garlic pizza bread tasted more like a tiny cheese pizza and the cheesy wedges were attached by burned cheese. The only thing got right was the chicked strips, but come on all you do with those is bung them in the oven. Don't eat here, awful even by domino's standards.
