I don't mind as it's common at most restaurants. The new decor is an improvement, however a tad seedy Moving on, staff were polite, however the food was not only overpriced, but more importantly of a very poor quality. Overcooked Lamb, Under seasoned and unbalanced spices. Also very oily! The best thing about this restaurant was the attentive staff and the naan bread and obviously the drinks. Titash, new chef needed or re-train him/her.

The decor is modern, the service is good and the food is pretty good, although not to the standard of Moment of India and probably not as hot as 90% of curry houses. I can eat a Babe Blooz vindaloo whereas normally I would go for a madras. A nice restaurant - 2nd best in Mkt Harborough after Moment of India - just because the latter makes more complex and flavoursome curries.

Waiting staff (and owners) who have been there for the past 10 years don't do service with a smile and food kind of gets plonked down Food is very tasty though. The dining area is essentially a long corridor, so what you see in the photo (count the tables to get an idea of depth) on Yelp is pretty much it. SERVICE// Service was pretty nice. One of the waiters was a bit chatty/putting it on. But you can't fault him for trying, better than a surly attitude. He made recommendations, answered questions, and was patient, so overall it was nice service. FOOD// Okay to good. Portions were nice, too. Naan portions are huge, easily shared between at least 3 people. The size of a serving platter, easily over 1 foot in diameter.

That's a definite sign of how good this place really is. My friends adore this restaurant, which makes it our most popular destination when we eat out. The food is pretty special. Really tasty, and for the price it's amazing. You would think it would be more considering how popular and sophisticated this restaurant is. I am a big fan of the Saag Prawns :) but all the dishes I've tried have been so delicious. I'd highly recommend Indiya to everyone.

This is an excellent Indian restaurant located just off the town centre (opposite Sainsbury's)…read more There is a nice bar area to sit at if you have to wait for a table. The decor is modern and in good order. Highly recommended are the chicken tikka sag and lamb bhuna. The raspberry dip for the popadums is also very tasty. Not the cheapest in the area but one of the best. The only real downside is that tables are a little close together and, with a wooden floor, it can be very noisy when busy.

I choose the sheek kebab, lamb dupiaza( which was very sweet), mushroom bajhee, pilau rice & naan. Over all the food was good I was just a little disappointed with the sweetness of the dupiaza and very mushy sauce.

The flavours of the curries are always consistent here, although it is hard to identify any of the ingredients in the sauces as I was able to at other curry houses except the green chilies. They also give you extra when you order over a certain amount. This is great offer, but I recommend they use a credit system for next purchase (a simple royalty stamp card) so that customers can plan their meal. We had so much left over with the extra free dishes not even touched. I am one that do not like to waste food, so had to rearrange our fridge to store everything (not fun) Quality not quantity is the key to keeping customers satisfied and our weight down. Service great and do recommend this establishment for a good o' curry!
