That said, Mem Saab is not your common or garden curry house, more of an upmarket Indian restaurant, but it is sublime in every respect. The off-street parking is spacious and secure, the decor is considered, staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is really quite excellent. Mem Saab is not my favourite curry establishment in Northampton (see my other reviews for that), but as a place to go and enjoy a relaxed Indian meal in great surroundings, it is almost unmatched in this part of the country. My favourite dish is Chicken Korma I always ask for the dish to be extra sweet and extra creamy and that is how it arrives. All the same it is a very nice joint with clean up to date decor, good quality food and a friendly atmosphere. Just round the corner from the Picturedrome, while sited to get to from the Abington area of Northampton. Menu has the standard curries on it but with a few specialities thrown in.
