RUN RUN RUN!!!!! NEVER come here. And I mean NEVER! Took my 4 year old here after having been to…read moreurgent care with a fracture to her arm. I brought all her x-rays, info. Etc. Dr Carlow is the absolute WORST! He asked me 3 times if I brought her x-rays (which were literally under his arm on the desk). Despite asking, he never even looked at them. He then walks up to my daughter, doesn't say ONE word to her, and very aggressively takes the bandage off her arm. I wish this was an exaggeration. She was screaming and crying in pain, he continued to rip off the layers, and not once saying a word to her. Then he starts grabbing her arm, making it all around despite her screams of pain. Then he tells me there is no fracture, that we will keep the soft cast on for support but there is no fracture. He must have X-ray vision because he didn't even look at the X-rays I took in. Needless to say I left very pissed and even more confused. The next morning I called for clarification. I couldn't wrap my head around how everyone else is saying there is a fracture. I called, got the run around from his staff. Then was told to call back when he came into the clinic (because he never seems to be around). So I call back, his aid shocked and doesn't understand why I was told what I was told. Then he all of the sudden gets on the phone and says "so what's going on? The girls here tried telling me but I'm confused". So I told him I didn't understand how everyone else is saying there is a fracture BUT you. And how would you know if you didn't compare the X-rays. He then tells me that "there is a fracture" and I said what?! That is not what was discussed yesterday at all. Then he starts talking down to me as if I'm some little stupid woman who knows nothing (mind you I just recently left my medical career to stay at home with our daughter, and my husband is a physician...so in fact I DO know quite a lot). He told me it's my fault that I didn't understand (something he didn't even say). Blamed it all on me, told me that he told me all of this at the visit. So I call my insurance and get a new referral to childrens ortho in Hartford, who wouldn't you guess, said there is in fact a fracture and put her In a cast right there on the spot. Fast forward to 5 months later, and I am being billed for things for a femur! (That is the bone in your thigh). So not only do they practice MALPRACTICE here, they also practice fraud by wrongfully billing and coding. RUN FAR from this place. I can't believe they preform surgery here. I wouldn't trust them to give me a glass of water. Zero stars if I could.

He runs in and out of the room with barely enough time to answer any questions. No eye contact. Made me feel like pretty much an idiot for coming in there. No, I don't think I'll be going back. It's not MY problem that his practice books 75 patients for a day--I expect to be given the adequate amount of time that I need.

Dr. Anbari performed surgery on both of my soldiers with the final solution being a total left reverse shoulder procedure in November of 2025. My wife (a runner and long distance bicyclist), had left foot and ankle reconstruction surgery in August of last year by Dr. Arcand. She has made a remarkable recovery and is eyeing her bike as her physical therapy professes as I am eyeing my old golf clubs that I haven't picked up in five years. Isn't that what's it's all about? Add to their surgical expertise, the kindness and professionalism of their medical assistants, check in and check out desk staff, their fabulous PA's and dedicated in house after care medical device specialists for boots, slings, crutches, etc., and you have a one stop shop of sone of the best orthos in our state.

He completely dismissed my complaints, misdiagnosed my condition and was completely unprofessional, like I was wasting his time. "Just give it a couple of weeks" he says. Two weeks later I went to see a nerve specialist for testing and then a real Doctor who said I needed urgent surgery that I should have had weeks ago, to repair an already severly compressed nerve. If I listend to Piposar, I wouldn't have the use of my hand today.

No waiting, just an immediate solution to my painful problem. Doctor K (Tarik Kardestuncer, M.D.) is a remarkable individual, spectacular human, and truly embodies the Hippocratic Oath. He is hardworking and excellent at what he does. I can't say enough about him, both as a person and as a doctor. He surpasses any other doctor I've ever met. And at 67 years old, I've seen a BUNCH of doctors, he is by far the best! Dr K. - He is in this profession for all the right reasons.

The fact that I was left standing there for over five minutes was ridiculous. Finally, a young lady returning from her break helped me check in. Miraculously the person right behind me was invited to check in immediately. Hmmmm. The wait to see the doctor was also lengthy. I was finally called to the back only to meet with the doctor I was referred to for five minutes and told he was referring me to his colleague. Horrible bedside manner. Condescending to be sure. I didn't ask why he was referring me to someone else. I was checked out by the same receptionist who walked over from her desk to do so. Hmmm. I went to the second appointment and not so bad this time. However, this doctor's bedside manner was as off-putting as the first. Just a bit too much arrogance. I decided not to return. Fast forward. I end up at the ER with a hand injury that is not healing properly and broke open and bled profusely. The ER contact a hand surgeon who knows immediately what it is without seeing it. Unfortunately they are affiliated with, you guessed it, Orthopedic Partners. Must be new I thought. So the OP was supposed to get me in ASAP according to the ER nurse. At least by Friday. No phone call. I call the following week and can't locate my insurance card so I'm told I need to provide the number before an appointment can be made. Understood. I find the card and try to call back several times that same day. No one picks up. Just on hold indefinitely. The next day I try again. No luck. The third day, after trying unsuccessfully to connect with scheduling I speak to an operator to ask if there is a better time to call. She tells me no, not really. High call volume. So, I say thank you and have a nice day. I contact a surgeon's office affiliated with Backus Hospital and surprise! they answered immediately and tell me what I should do for a referral. Pleasant, professional and efficient. Thank goodness for options.
