Five Stars - A Rare Gem of Genuine Service…read more I cannot say enough good things about Highway 69 Storage in Hayesville, NC, and especially about its incredible owner, Tony. During one of the most difficult times in my life--after the passing of my husband--I was faced with the overwhelming task of moving back to Michigan. I had placed my belongings in storage, but when the time came to ship them home, the moving company fell through and had no one available to help load my things into a U-Haul pod. To make matters even more stressful, I had already left the state. That's when Tony stepped in. With incredible kindness, compassion, and professionalism, Tony went above and beyond--personally arranging for my belongings to be moved from the storage unit into the pod. Without his help, I wouldn't have had access to any of my things. I was hundreds of miles away, and Tony took care of everything like it was his own. This kind of old-fashioned, genuine customer care is nearly impossible to find these days. Tony didn't just provide a service--he showed heart, and for that, I am endlessly grateful. Worst moving experience we've ever had. They manhandled all of our boxes and some of them were…read moredamaged. I'm convinced they dropped our washing machine which is now completely dented in the front. It was raining and some of our boxes were soaked and the contents damaged. They destroyed a vintage dresser from the 70s which had survived several moves prior. Thank goodness we moved our computers, jewelry, and other valuables ourselves; I wouldn't trust them with anything of value. Very disappointed. Do not use if you care about your belongings.
