I had a little time to spare before an event and decided to wander around Chinatown. Hidden among the Chinese/Vietnamese restaurants and asian groceries, you will find this wine and beer oasis! What a fantastic little find in Fortitude Valley.
The Reisling poster posted outside caught my eye and then I peered into an incredible place stacked high and wide with wine, wine, and more wine. Dan greeted me when I walked in and told me a little about the creative idea behind InCider Trading. He had a group who had booked a table in the back to chat and have a few drinks.
You can book it for you and your friends too! If you want to have drinks inside, you pay a nominal fee in addition to the cost of your chosen beverage. For each drink, it's about $2.50 and for bottles in the cellar, it's $10. If you were to have the same bottle at a restaurant, you'd be given a 300% upcharge. I would say you're getting a mighty fine deal here. You can also add food if you'd like. Just ask to see some menus or just have them pick it out for you.
They had an array of wines including many from the South such as Barossa Valley and Adelaide Hills but are adding wine in the Queensland area as well. They also had various ciders such as apple and pear to choose from too.
They have done so much with the space where you can sit on a stool and enjoy your drinks on barrel tops. The little details they have added are perfect so come see and try it out for yourself! read more
