I read Zane's review, and I have to admit that it's funny. And, it's probably accurate regarding…read moredrink prices... BUT... Noble Axes is not just a bar, it's an AXE THROWING bar. And as an axe throwing bar, NA excels. As a guy who's been to one or two of these places, I can tell you that Noble Axes is great. The actual axes are kept razor sharp and are perfectly balanced. The lanes and the targets are WATL standard and are clean and very well maintained. Overall, the atmosphere of this place is very cool, welcoming, clean, and fun. It's located in The Marketplace, which itself is very cool, welcoming, clean, and fun. The coaching and instruction, both times we've been here, has been very good. I don't know who thought of mixing alcohol and axe throwing, but someone give his Viking ass a medal. NA has a full bar, but mostly, they have BEER! How much beer? Well... Noble Crafts, the craft beer bar located downstairs, really does deserve its own Yelp page. They do have upwards of 500 canned, bottled, and draft beers at any given time. And, BTW, it's totally possible to keep that many kinds of beer on hand without it getting skunked. In addition to axe throwing, Noble has Duckpin bowling, skeeball, classic arcade games, board games, and frequently, live music. Anybody who grew up in or around Sandusky knows that from the late 70s until the early 2000s, downtown was, essentially, a ghost town. It's really great to see ballsy-ass investors risk their money to make Downtown Sandusky a great place to be. I hope Noble Axes continues to do well and helps to serve as a nucleus for further development in the entertainment sector. 5 Stars!

AVOID! I can some up this place with one simple word: SCAM. Not only do these ppl charge you for…read morethrowing an ax at a piece of wood but then they have the highest drink prices around. You also cant tell me they are cycling through 500 kinds of beer without any getting skunked. Also look at their "specials" for bike week, those prices are the 365 day prices at any other of the local bars. Just another one of these new Sandusky establishments that caters to the 3 month summer snobs instead of the tax paying locals. Owner Meghan will try to argue with your complaints instead of trying to make it right.
