This required a straight leg brace for six weeks and crutches for another month. All this significantly impacted my ability to properly rehab the knee with the replacement, as well as the knee with the quadriceps damage. I was referred to Pursuit Therapy and Maryann Daniels by a friend, which was a true blessing because her approach was professional, personal, and hands-on. She was focused on pain management and rehabilitation, which was a balance that I did not receive at the traditional rehab center I went to after surgery. I'm getting…read morethe therapy from Leonard Mitchell, a doctor in physical therapy, and am very happy even after 2 sessions (and the home exercises) for my adhesive encapsulated shoulder. He warms the shoulder up with an exercise machine then stretches and manipulates the shoulder putting pressure on it before I do a few new exercises. They're very caring and accommodating. I requested a heating pad first to start the warm up and he gladly did that for me. I had previously come to this center and a physical therapist assistant took care of me, Brittany, and she was spot on, too. I'm inspired to do the exercises (and I'm lazy and undisciplined for repetitive exercises) seeing the progress even in a short period. I took some pics, but they're limited because the center protects patients privacy so I was asked to not include patients in the pics, even from behind. I like their professionalism.

Physical Therapy is one of those things you think you don't really need... but after you do it, you…read morerealize that you really did need it! I have had to use a physical therapist a few times in my life and I always look back and realize that it truly helped me recover and feel better. I have had lower back pain for almost a year and one afternoon while bending over to get laundry out of the dryer, my back went into a spasm! Wow... I could not move without pain for a number of days. I went to my doctor because I was not able to get to work and he gave me some muscle relaxers and pain pills... but he also prescribed Physical Therapy for me. A few days went by and there office called to make my first appointment. I went in and I met with Dylan. We talked about what got me there and what I had been doing to try and relive the pain. He worked magic on my lower back with a tool and was able to start to loosen up the knot he found down there. It was amazing! Lucky for me, my injury was not very bad. I went to see Dylan 5 or 6 times in total for my pain to be taken away. There are patients who have been going to this facility for a long time to help with their injures and they all seemed to be getting better. Each week I was given a number of lower back excises to do that stretched out my back and strengthened my muscles. After the workout, Dylan was able to use that tool to work on that knot! It was the best part of the whole session! The staff is very nice and very patient with everyone and I am very happy that I found good, caring people to help me with my pain. If I ever need physical therapy in the future, I know where I will be going. Enjoy and feel better!

Never have I even heard of a Anti-gravity treadmill, but for someone who typically despises running…read moreon the treadmill, this is my new best friend! It's so futuristic! Designed by the lovely folks at NASA. You wear something like a body suit (lower half only) which connects to the treadmill & allows the operator to determine the amount of gravity that's released during your run. This takes a lot of the pressure off your feet, ankles, etc. I was able to run a full 30 minutes without stopping, on the regular treadmill I never last more than 15 minutes! I've never gone over 7 mph on a treadmill, but this machine enabled me to reach 10mph, I couldn't belive it! & don't think that since there's less gravity, you're getting less of a workout...not true at all, I worked up a nice sweat & even wore my fitbit during the run which monitored my heart rate the entire time & confirmed that by body burned the same amount of calories for the 3 mile run as it usually does when I run 3 miles outside! The only difference is that I was much faster, more comfortable & I don't feel completely fatigue afterwards. I would recommend anyone who has previous sports injuries, gets shin splints, has foot problems, or just wants to try a really cool run to check this place out. Johnathan guided me through the entire run & explained everything very thoroughly, he even stretched me out afterwards & treated me to some very refreshing alkaline water, he was great! Dr Henderson is also wonderful, he does more of the therapy which I don't really need, but I do plan on referring my boyfriend to him to treat some old sports injuries because he is very personable & I can tell he really knows his stuff! My only regret is not taking any photos!

On Wednesday, I received a call informing me that my financial assistance application was still pending. I explained that I was uninsured and was told, "That's not my problem. The visit starts at $157, not including any additional treatment." I understand that staff members may not be responsible for financial assistance decisions, and I recognize that medical services have associated costs. However, the way this information was communicated was extremely disappointing. Compassion and professionalism are especially important when speaking with patients who are already dealing with an injury and financial concerns. I have worked in the medical field for 26 years, and unfortunately, this interaction did not reflect the level of customer service and empathy I would expect from a healthcare facility. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this practice to others. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and provides additional training on patient communication and empathy.
