The cutest, most personal B&B experience during our recent trip to Italy. The man and I traveled to Lago d'Iseo to experience Christo's "floating piers" installation. We would have stayed in Lago d'Iseo, but most of the hotels were sold out due to the exhibit. We decided to stay in Bergamo, since it is a short drive away. I found In Centro on Trip Advisor and the reviews and pictures looked good.
The B&B is located in a very nice part of town, with easy access to the old and new town areas. Plenty of restaurants nearby and the best gelato in Bergamo (La Romana) happens to be within a walking distance. The manager was very helpful offering us tips and recommendations - even gave us a discount code for car parking in the nearby parking structure. Breakfast is small, intimate, and plentiful. Wifi is free and fast. The rooms are modern and huge (by European hotel standards) compared to many other European B&Bs where we've stayed. Comfortable beds, clean and big bathroom, and the most important of all - air conditioning in the sweltering Italian summer.
Will definitely return if we are in the area. read more
